Charles x Reader

((Sorry if I didn't get this right I've never heard this song before so it's new to me-))

Charles sat down, by a beach that was somewhat special to him.

The reason was.. well he met someone very special here, but they're gone now.. still hurts him when he looks back at when they were still together.

We we're playing in the sand.

Y/N put a small stick on top of the sandcastle they and Charles made.

"Wow! I can't believe we made this Charles!" Y/N smiled, as Charles smiled back.

"Yeah, me too." Charles replied shyly, he couldn't help but to have a small tiny crush on Y/N.

And you found a little band.

Y/N looked over towards Henry waving and smiling a bit as Henry waved back.

Y/N seemed to have a crush on Henry though, Charles wasn't sure if they actually did like him.

You told me you fell in love with it, hadn't gone as I planned.

"Y'know, Henry's a pretty cool guy. I think I like him!" Y/N cheered then gasped. "Wait, no. Love him!"

Charles only responded with a chuckle, then a small smile. "Yeah, Henry's pretty cool.. I think he'll like you too Y/N.."

When you had to bid adieu,

"I have a question Y/N, do you like Charles?" Ellie asked out of the blue.

Y/N only shook their head. "Nah, we're only friends so far."

Said you'd never love anew.

Charles sighed a bit, he still liked Y/N but there's a 90% chance they'd go with Henry.

I wondered if I could hold it and fall in love with it too.

Charles tried his best to be happy around Y/N, while they were hanging out. He didn't want Y/N noticing the pain that was inside him.

'Y/N doesn't like you.'

You told me to buy a pony.

"Charles, there's so many people out there in the world! I'm sure you'll find someone special." Y/N said, comforting their one and only best friend.

But all I wanted was you.

'But you're the special someone..' Charles thought, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Yeah.. I'm sure I will.." Charles sighed. "If only that one person like me back.."

"What?"

"Nothing."

Pretty much Y/N was now dating Henry, Charles and Y/N barely hung out anymore.

Charles looked at the clock tiredly, it was about 10:39PM.

He sighed and rested his head on his palm, eyes slowly closing from time to time.

He missed his dear Y/N very much, he'd just wish he could see them once more.

If only he was as great as Henry..

He'd want to be the greatest boyfriend, maybe even father. But that all goes to Henry now.

And now, he's sitting at the beach, looking at the stars.

It was quiet, very quiet. The only thing you could hear was the ocean waves and the wind blowing ever so slowly.

Charles glanced over at the spot him and his best friend used to be, he missed those days..

But, if this makes Y/N happy, then Charles won't stop them.

Even if it's a pain in the heart.
