A Not So Merry Ninjago Christmas

Disclaimer: I don't own Ninjago or "Like It's Christmas" by the Jonas Brothers, just the story.

I couldn't post a Christmas oneshot without attaching a Christmas song.

Five of the ninja were watching TV in the living room of the monastery.  They were just relaxing when the blue ninja walked in carrying a box of Christmas decorations.  "What are you guys doing?  Just sitting around?" Jay asked.  "It's Christmas Eve Eve and we still haven't decorated yet."

"Did you seriously just say Christmas Eve Eve?" Kai asked.

"Yes.  It's the Eve of Christmas Eve."

"We just got back from a mission yesterday," Cole said.  "We want to relax."

"Come on.  Christmas is in a couple of days.  Decorating is fun, especially decorating the tree."

"I'll help you, Jay," Nya said as she was getting up.  She walked over to Jay and started helping him unpack the box.  Nya sighed.  "I'm pretty sure that we're the only people that actually went Christmas shopping."

The other four froze as they realized that they forgot to go get gifts for everyone.  "I'm gonna go to the store," Lloyd said.  "Not that I forgot to go Christmas shopping.  I just need to get something.  What about you guys?"

"Yeah," Cole, Kai, and Zane agreed and the four of them left.

"They totally forgot to get gifts," Jay said.

"Yeah.  They did," Nya agreed.  "Luckily, we did online shopping since we went on that mission."

"They are going to need luck to be able to find anything good now."

"That is true."  They both laughed and started decorating the monastery.

A few hours later, the others returned.  Jay and Nya were just starting to decorate the tree.  "You guys are finally back," Nya said.

"We...uh...had some stuff to take care of," Kai said nervously as he went to put their stuff away.  When the four of them came back, they helped Jay and Nya out with decorating the tree.

"You two did a nice job on the decorations," Zane complemented.

"Thanks," Jay said.  "We've been working hard to decorate this place."

"It looks like it," Cole said.

They finished putting all of the ornaments, lights, and garland on the tree.  "There's only one part left," Nya said and took out the tree topper.  "The star.  Jay, would you like to do the honor?"

"I say, let's have Lloyd do it since he's the youngest," Jay suggested.

"Seriously?" Lloyd asked and Jay nodded.  "Sure."  Lloyd took the star from Nya and Cole and Kai gave him a boost to help him reach the top.

While that was happening, there was a knock at the door.  "I'll get it," Nya said.  When she opened the door, she was shocked by who she saw.  There was a woman with blonde hair and blue eyes.  Nya instantly recognized her from when she travelled back in time with Kai and Wu.

"Nya, who's at the-" Jay froze when he saw the person at the door.  Nya told him about her because she knew that Jay deserved to know.

The woman looked at Jay.  She noticed that he was wearing a blue gi and noticed the pin with a lightning symbol.   They stood at the door for a minute in silence.

Cole, Kai, and Zane looked over and were curious about what was going on.

"I think I got it," Lloyd said as he finally got the star on top of the tree.  "You guys can put me down now."  Cole and Kai were so distracted that they dropped Lloyd.  "Ow!"
