Everyone has someone they really love... someone they are not ready to let go. This man always said there wasn't any money to leave to his sons and daughters once he is gone. But he left a bunch of riches that he did not know he had. "Always smile because tomorrow is never a promise. Life is too short. We never know what a tomorrow may bring." said the man. He loved to dance, sing, play soccer, work out, try new things, and there is still much more. But over all these things he loved to smile. This man never knew how to take a day off , he sacraffied everything he had to give a better future to his family. Now he LOVED to do upholstery, fix anything in the house and find new projects to do. He had energy that no one has seen before, energy to life that you could not imagine was possible. This man with the beautiful eyes was 5,6 feet tall, dark skinned but a little light, right below his eyes was a little red spot that looked like he blushed. He had straight black hair and his hands were rough around the edges, but his hands were very hard working. There were times he came home and had cuts on his fingers from working so hard. He had a personality that seemed so unreal. He was healthy so what could go wrong right ?

The flowers bloomed, the birds chirped, as the morning rose. The man loved to dance early in the morning, with his music blasting to his favorite songs. His heart was warm and loving, his family was always first. He was incredibly friendly, everywhere he went there was always someone he knew. His smile was so bright it could light up a whole room and a day of rest never existed on his calendar. Church was always a must, so every Sunday he went off to church with his family. His sacrifices were what gave his family the position of life they we're in. I'm not sure if there was anything he couldn't do, he knew how to fix a broken couch, sowing machine, lawn mower, picture frame, he even knew how to make pencil cases out of animal skin that he got from work. His wife packed him lunch every morning and he was there for his sons and daughters football games, concerts, swim meets, water polo games, track and field, everything his children were involved in he was sure to be present. He went from having nothing to EVERYTHING, opened a bank account, bought a house, learned to speak english, etc. This man was very impressive and proved that there is no such thing as "I can't do it." He wasn't raised in a united family, so he made sure he did that with his family. The man was a son, father, nephew, grandchild, godfather , grandpa, cousin, uncle, brother, role model, he was everything to everyone... the glue to the puzzle. Who knew that from one day to the next everything would change.

The man got sick... real sick. The days passed by and he wasn't getting better; he washort out of breath. His sons and daughters were sad to have to say goodbye to their dad in case he did not wake up again. The days felt longer by the day... feeling like this was a never ending journey. But four months and facetime calls with one visit was hard for all of them. To see him in the position he was in, the man they saw wasn't anything like the dad they knew. The man was able to make it to his birthday, his family was able to go see him on his special day.

But there is a time that no one is ever prepared for because it's a touchy subject. He was becoming weak but he fought with all his might but like every warrior they all have a limit to strength. The day was coming and so soon it was.

But the flowers stopped blooming, the birds stopped chirping, the music stopped, and the man couldn't dance. He could not sing, walk,or eat... this was not the definition of life anymore at least not to him. He got sick and months passed by, doctors said they believed he could make it out alive. But the virus had damaged his organs and it was time to say goodbye. Hope was present to his family... They we're hoping for a miracle to happen. Life doesn't always go as we plan. There was a choice to be made. Even if he came out alive the process and quality of life was nowhere near what his sons and daughters knew the man would have liked. They did not want their father to suffer any longer, enough has been enough. It was time to let their dad rest in peace... It was time to say goodbye. The man with the beautiful eyes is my dad.
