Lima

Chapter 2

Lima glared up at the popcorn ceiling as she lay in bed. It was one of those nights. Nights where she lay awake, contemplating life and death, sometimes even transcendentalism, if it was a good night.

But no, it was already 2 am and she had the 7 am shift at the hospital tomorrow. More like today. Lima rolled over to her side and let out a heavy breath. Korey was in the other room, knocked out with some guy she met online and Jane had yet to come back from her midnight shift at the diner. Out of her two roommates and coincidentally best friends, Lima was the only one with a stable job and a stable virginity. Her first kiss had yet to be taken.

Not that she was looking for a relationship. Her father had left their family for war and was killed in action. Her mother had then promptly gotten breast cancer and passed a year after her diagnosis. Lima had been 14.

Now at 23, she was a single nurse that worked 12 hours a day and got close to no hours of sleep. Living in a nice apartment with her two best friends, who had fun every night.

She looked back at her phone and groaned, it was 3:30. Her room door opened and in walked Jane carrying a steaming mug and a plate of pie. Lima sat up in her bed and grinned.

"Hey babe," Jane smiled at her and gave her the plate and set the mug by the bedside dresser. Lima forked a large piece of pie and put it into her mouth.

"Ommy---," Lima moaned aloud as the tangy taste of cherries melted into her mouth. Jane sat down at the edge of her bed.

"Still having that insomnia craze?" Jane asked, petting Lima's hair. Lima nodded as she took gulps of the warm milk to wash down the sugar.

"Yeah, and it doesn't help that Korey has to fuck a guy every night. I know that to get to the top you need to sleep around but Korey may be taking that to a whole new level," Jane giggled but nodded. Korey was a struggling actress, not really struggling since her elite parents paid for her lavish lifestyle.

The only reason that Lima and Jane could afford the apartment was because 75% of the rent was always paid for. Jane on the other hand, didn't know what to do. She worked odd jobs all the time and was alright with her life. She had grown up with only male influences since her mother died after some accident. Her four older brothers were always around to check up on their baby sister and her father kept urging her to come back. But she always disagreed. This was her form of independence.

But for some odd reason, Lima always felt a sense of animosity from both Janes and Korey's families. They always laughed it off and said that their families adored her. It was very hard to believe whenever they came over and graced her with a cold shoulder.

"Feeling sleepy yet?" Jane asked, rubbing a comforting hand across Lima's back.

"Yeah kinda," Lima let out a slight yawn, and pulled her covers up.

"Good night babe, sleep tight," Jane kissed Lima on her nose and left the room quietly.

Lima slowly shut her eyes and began the dream-or nightmare- that had plagued her for days.

Lima was still in her room, on her bed. But Jane hadn't left. Instead she sat at the edge and leaned over, placing a kiss on Limas mouth instead. Lima moaned softly and felt Janes hand creep down then under her shirt. Jane pulled away and grinned as she palmed her friends bare breasts.

"It's so sexy when you don't wear a bra," She slipped the shirt over Lima's head and bent down to take a nipple into her mouth. Lima let out another moan as Jane laved her nipple, nipping lightly with her teeth. Lima's hands went into her friends curly red hair and tugged. Jane pulled her head up and placed a closed mouth kiss on Lima's lips. She then trailed downwards, dropping kisses across Lima's neck and collarbone before she latched on and sucked feverishly on one spot. At this point Lima felt like her body was on fire; she was bucking her hips and moaning non stop until Jane pulled away from the newly made hickey. Lima was panting and Jane kept her cool composure.
