Silence. It echoed throughout this silent chilly house in a small town of Virginia. A girl laid on her bed covered in layers of blankets trapped in the world of her dreams... silence. The house was silent— until a little ring echoed. A notification... a discord notification. The girl slowly woke up and reached for her phone, scanning over the notification.

"Heyyyyy everyone! I hope you all slept well— I can't wait to call today and continue playing our game!" The notification read. It was from Sunny, she had texted her daily good morning notification— this meant the others would be awake soon...
"Good morning Sunny, and everyone else who would be reading this..." texted Zara. She seemed as calm as always especially since she hated mornings... so Glitch wasn't expecting much crackhead energy right away.
"Morning my loves!" Echo texted... a small smile had spread across Glitches face. She put on her glasses and turned down her brightness slowly typing in her message, "Good morning gays" she typed and sent...
"Gays—?" Texted back Zara confused.
"I think she meant *guys" texted Sunny.
"Yeah— I meant guys... ;-;" Glitch responded... she would imagine them all laughing— she had their voices memorized so it was easy and calming in her clouded mind.

Glitch sat her phone down and went over to her pc, turning it and the monitor on making sure they connect. It was a quick process... it took a little longer for her to set up her stream if she was being honest. A heavy sigh left her mouth... the silence was painful... so was the chilly atmosphere surrounding her. She loved the winter but she hated the blizzards— those where never fun... they always ended up with power outages and moments where the world around her is so silent it was like she was the only person alive. Silent and painful... that's why she enjoyed the dumb messages and their voices daily. Her daily dose of happiness....

Her phone started to ring... she was getting a call from her best friend... Sunny. She answered it and adored the feeling of warmth from her phone.
"How's the weather going Glitch—?" Asked Sunny teasingly, this honestly didn't upset Glitch (who sometimes hated jokes) since they had been friends for a while, so Sunny wasn't on the hit list.
"It's getting worse... they are expecting another blizzard tonight... so I'm hoping I'll be able to party with you three as long as I can..." Glitch answered in a calm yet almost emotionless tone.
"Make sure you wrap yourself up then— oh and maybe get some of that hot chocolate you made for Zara when she flew up to visit!" Sunny said trying to brighten Glitch's spirit.
"Of course... I'll join the vc really soon... I just have to get my stream set up." Glitch said back...
"Okie Doki! I'll keep Zara entertained!" Sunny said hanging up the call. A slight shade of pink... a slight warmth covered Glitch's cheeks. Zara and Echo were well aware of how Glitch felt bout Sunny and seemed to always find ways to tease her even if it was unintentional. So she was expecting all sorts of teasing once they find out they where on a call before this. Sunny was always clueless by the way... thank god... she never understood what was going on.

After a couple of minutes of Glitch furiously getting her stream going and trying to decide background music, since she was very picky, she was able to get everything set up. Even with her friends on the call laughing over the amount of songs they have gone through just because Glitch wanted to find the perfect song to start with. Glitch laughed with them before muting the call to do her intro without interruption—
"Hello everyone-! I hope your having a good day... today me and the dumb gays will be trying to fight the wither.... again...." she did her intro and unmuted the call to rejoin their conversation. They spent a full ten hours all together...

"Alrighty... I'm gonna go now— thank you everyone for sticking with us... and watching us fail for the second time in a row..." Glitch had said shutting off the stream watching the comments flood with the fans going "Bye Glitch-!" or "Glitch and Sunny totally are gay" this flustered Glitch a bit... she closed out of everything fully and kept discord open to continue talking to her friends.

"So Glitchhhhhhhh— how's it like being single near the holidays?" Teased Zara.
"Listen just because you and Echo act like your a married couple doesn't mean your both excused—!" Glitch said back calmly... acting away her embarrassment.
"Awwwwwww thats mean Glitchy!" said Sunny, "You could at least give us the benefit the doubt-!" Zara joked. Everyone laughed... Glitch focused on Sunny's laugh... zoning out and letting it flood her mind. After a minute of her silence, Zara had caught Glitch's attention, "Earth to Glitch! Dudes I think mister frostbite has frozen Glitch and she is no longer one with this world..." Zara joked.
"Oh! Sorry-! I zoned out... I-I'm gonna go... I gotta take care of Luna anyway..." Glitch said running away and hanging up the call immediately... logging out of discord and racing over to her dog.
"I wasn't lying— you want attention to now don't you, sweetie-!" Glitch said turning over to her dog who was sat beside her. Her small dog would jump into her lap and Glitch would calmly pet her and just relax.

Then, there was a... Ding. A notification from discord. She reached over and clicked on it. Letting her phone open the app and reading the message from Sunny. It was a link to a song, with a message attached that read, "Listen to the song and then read the title-! Then give me an answer—!" Glitch rolled her eyes and plugged in her headphones before raising the volume and listening to the song.

So can I call you tonight-?

I'm trying to make up my mind

Just how I feel

Could you tell me what's real?

Glitch continued to listen to the words flooding her memory as she basically vibed along with the melody...

I hear your voice on the phone

Now I'm no longer alone

Just how I feel

Could you tell me what real? Anymore

Cause I wouldn't know

The song continued until its full four minutes and thirty nine seconds was over. Glitch read the title, "Can I call you Tonight" was the name. She chuckled and texted Sunny.

"You could have just asked me normally—" Glitch said trying to not laugh more.
"No because that's boring and I know you like music— so I wanted to introduce you to a good song! Also music is a language we can fluent in—" Sunny explained jokingly, "besides you normally send me playlists so I wanna try giving you something..."

"But seriously.... can I call you tonight?"
