Heat. Sweltering heat. That was all Corellia could feel as she rummaged through a broken speeder for spare parts to sell. Ever since she parted ways with the Mandalorian it's been hard labor, day and night. After a while Corellia collapsed to the ground. Breaths heavy and worn. She threw her body against the hot sand and closed her eyes. Her chest heaving up and down.
"Corellia!" The older man shouted with concern. He kneeled beside her and placed the back of his hand on her forehead. He frowned "It's getting too hot. You're overworking yourself starlight."
The girl scoffed before rolling to her stomach. "Uncle I'm not a baby anymore. I've become independent ever since we parted ways on our home planet." She hoisted herself up by using the broken speeder to support her weight.
Gael let out an unconvinced sigh and shook his head. "Tatooine's heat is nothing to be reckoned with. Heat strokes are hard to deal with." He wrapped his fingers around her arm to help her walk.
"I've served as a bounty huntress. This heat is nothing."

"I swear Corellia, that stern mentality your father had is really showing. I told you to go and rest yet here I find you repairing your ship." He leaned against the worn down aircraft and watched the girl carefully.
The mention of her deceased father always brought back memories of the day she had lost both her parents. The loud erratic explosions and the whizzing of blasters became traumatic. That was until she landed the job as a bounty huntress. She's become stronger from all of her experiences.
She continued to churn the wrench to tighten the new parts she had scavenged. A soft laugh escaped her parted lips. "Is that so? Tell me more Uncle." She squinted her eyes as she read through the old manual the ship had come with.
"Your mother, my stars she was gorgeous. The most gorgeous woman I had ever seen." He chucked, "You know she met me first before your father. I was so close to taking her away from your father but the two of them became so inseparable.. I couldn't bring myself to break their bond."
Before she knew it, the two suns had already set over the horizons. Gael was still rambling on and on about her parents. Talking trash about her father and gushing over her mother's kindness and beauty. He went on to complain about always being out bested by Darrien.
All of this brought a small smile to her face. Corellia just wished she had more memories with both her parents. She wasn't able to fully get to know the both of them.
"Wow..." She breathed out. "I never knew you'd know so much about my parents."
"I wish you had more time with them. Life has been so cruel to you starlight. I'm sorry." He gently brushed his thumb against her cheek in a reassuring manner.
She leaned her face into the palm of his hand and sighed. "I believe there's a time and place for everything."
Both fell to silence for a moment before being interrupted by CR-7's erratic beeps. The droid chirped with urgency as it rolled up to Corellia. She suddenly felt her heart stop at the sight.
"Din..?" She breathed out in a state of shock.
" H-hello?" The Mandalorian stuttered as he adjusted himself. "Corellia. I've installed a little message inside your droid to contact you if I ever needed your help again. I need your help Corellia. There's a homing beacon on my ship and your little friend there can track down my ship. I hope to see you very soon Corellia." Before the message ended in the background the child could be heard babbling nonsense.
