Why

Time passed quickly when we fell into a daze. We exchanged sloppy kisses and wandering touches. Each one leaving a searing feeling on the skin. My ice cold heart warmed at the thought of having a friend, a partner. For so long, I just wanted someone to stay with me. I didn't want to see concerned stares or pitying gazes. The feel of someone else was what I had yearned for. Toga wouldn't have to fall apart anymore. Not like me.
Toga fell back onto the bed and allowed me to lay in between her hips. My hands stayed to her sides and my lips erased her lingering tears. She wrapped her arms around my back and pulled me close. The lost feeling of an involuntary smile spread across my face. We split apart and rested against each other. Together we shared our pain and held the broken pieces of our hearts and minds together. Throughout the night neither of us strayed from the warmth of each other. The comfort of someone who understands the endless pain you carry around. The night seemed all the more peaceful in the presence of someone else.

The rays of light illuminated the once empty cold room, where I spent my days crying endless tears and ripping apart my flesh to rid the feeling of crawling beneath my skin. As golden as the sun, Toga's hair cascaded down her back in waves. My left arm wrapped around her shoulders and my hand felt the warmth of her bare skin. Toga mumbled incoherently into my collarbone while I read the news on my phone. She shifted her body and flipped over, resting her back on top of me. Like a cat, she spread her arms above her head and arched her back. Her arms wrapped around my head and grasped the back of it. Toga's attention stayed on my me, however mine followed the falling sheets. The sheets fell down her torso exposing more of her skin. I resisted the urge to stare and locked onto her head instead. She watched the ceiling and collected her thoughts. My arms rested down on her stomach.
Toga softly spoke "Ya think we moved to fast? Not that I'm complainin'."
I responded "The thought crossed my mind once or twice."
She started again "Does that mean you regret it? I mean the whole gettin' nakey and exploring each other."
I laughed and spoke "Na, I thought it was fun and well deserved. We've been fucked a lot by this whole stupid society. I think I like doing the fucking more."
Toga earnestly laughed "Ya, I only like getting boned by one person."
"Oh, I wonder who could that be?" I asked sarcastically.
She flipped back over and we rested chest to chest. She pouted "Don't gimme that. We both know. Don't make me say it."
I hummed and sat up. Toga latched onto my shoulders and wrapped her legs around my waist. I stood up with her, and walked into the kitchen. Toga nuzzled her head into my chest, which prompted me to peel her away "Alright Toga, that's enough smothering."
She pouted again, but reluctantly let herself be pulled away and set on the ground. Previously, my attention had been taken by nagging feeling of hunger but was suddenly taken away. I just understood that Toga was happily staring at me........naked......in my kitchen. Geez put some clothes on. You big old pervert. Immediately I spun around and occupied myself with starting the pot. Behind me, Toga snuck close and wrapped her arms around my torso. I sighed in defeat. She won't stop. I'll never get any peace and quiet.
"Toga, I have to go to school soon and I want you to be careful." She perked up at the mention of her name and nodded into my back. I continued "While I'm gone, don't stray to far from this apartment. I left a knife by your clothes and a bag of blood cubes. Make sure too use the blood cubes when you get blood crazy." Toga eagerly nodded again.
She quietly and sheepishly spoke "Uhm. Izuku."
I responded "Yeeees."
She continued "I don't really know how to make coffee."
"Geez man. I'll take you somewhere after school today but for now use what's in this pot." I instructed. Giddily, Toga skipped off into the bedroom. Minutes later, she emerged dressed in her usual schoolgirl uniform. Her skirt hiding her sheath on her thigh and my school uniform in her arms. We exchanged, I gave her a cup of coffee and I took my uniform. While she sipped at the drink, I slid into my clothes and fixed my hair. Toga assisted with my hair. In return, I rubbed her head. Her head chased my touch. She is just like taking care of a cat.
"Stay safe....and don't die." I said before heading for the door. Toga stopped me and landed a kiss
"See you later, Darling." She said and I left.
_______________
The class waited in a tense silence. Few words were exchanged when students began to arrive. The ramifications of the USJ would haunt them for the rest of their lives. Some took it harder than others. Toru was hugging Mina and Tsuyu was blankly staring at Uraraka. Izuku acted like normal, he sat down and propped his feet on his desk. Then he opened his thermos and took small sips of coffee. Sometimes a student would glance at him and be surprised by his cold unchanging face.
From the door, Aizawa emerged wrapped in bandages. Next to him was Present Mic who was helping guide him to his desk. Aizawa spoke but was muffled by the bandages. Angrily, he ripped the bandages off of his face.
He continued "Class, you've just survived a real villain attack. Take pride in the fact that you're alive. We won't stop classes because of some stupid villains. Prepare yourself because the Sports festival is fast approaching and I expect all of you to do your best. You will continue core classes but my home room class will be a free period for you. Use it wisely and get stronger." The class exchanged worried looks.
Present Mic interjected "All right, get to work you little heroes." Immediately Izuku stood up and left the room. He walked the halls until he reached one of the training gyms. He needs to hone his ghoul instincts. He knows how to fight and how to maximize his ghoul abilities but the experience and instincts are lacking.
Izuku landed a roundhouse kick into the dummy and caught his breath. A gentle, sweet aroma wafted into his nose. He flung his gaze towards the doorway. Standing their he could see the aroma taking form as Toru Hagakure. The culmination of his heighten senses and ghoul abilities gave a tangible life to the once invisible girl. She flashed a sheepish smile and awkwardly twisted her feet.
"I've been meaning to thank you. I-I mean for helping me on the bus. It was what I really needed at the time." Izuku replied with a nod and allowed himself to observe the true look of the mysterious girl. She had long, wavy blonde hair and brown eyes. While twiddling her thumbs.
She shyly watched his calculated stare "I really mean it. I want to repay your kindness."
Izuku shook his head "I don't need repayment. It was a spur of the moment decision. It's fine." Toru continued to pester him. Eventually, he stopped her and said "Stop it already. I'm not budging."
Toru pouted and replied "Fine. I guess I'll be your friend for life then." He stared at her frightened. 'No not her. Please, I hate energetic bubbly girls. Even more than I hate society.'
Izuku tried to placate her "No. It's totally fine. You don't have to be my friend."
She quickly responded "Uh uh, too late. We are now bestest friends." He sighed and slumped to the floor.' Why is my life a living nightmare. Two bubbly girls fawning over me all day long. This is terrible.'
