Mari's POV:
After what felt like a blissful eternity, David and I pulled away.
"So Mari, will you be my girlfriend?"
"Of course!" I blush.
"Great!"

(Still Maris POV)
David and I have been dating for a month now. Things have been great. We waited a few weeks to tell Joven because we didn't want to upset him, but he went completely insane. He is in a mental hospital now and I cry every night now because I feel so guilty. David and I decided to go see Joven, to help ease my mind.
I snap out of my thoughts by David saying, "Babe, we're here."
"Oh sorry, I was zoned out."
He walks around the car and opens my door, "It's fine, you must have so many people emotions running through your head. I'm just so glad I could help you, I hate seeing you upset."
I step out of the car as he's talking, grabbing his offered arm. I stand and stare in his eyes until he finishes, and I kiss him unexpectedly, just like I did when we started dating.
"Just like a month ago." we said in sync.
We walk in the facility hand in hand. We reach the front desk where a petite blonde lady greets us.
"Hi, are you here to visit someone?" she smiles.
"Joshua Ovenshire." David said.
"One moment, please." she goes on her computer and then picks up a walkie talkie, "Please send Joshua Ovenshire to the visiting area."
We hear a faint response from the other side, and she takes us to the visiting room.
"Go ahead in and take a seat, make yourself comfortable. Mr. Ovenshire will be just a moment."
"Okay, thank you." I respond with a smile.
After a minute of silence David asks, "Are you sure you're ready Mari?"
"I'm su-"
I was interrupted by a security guard escorting Joshua in. Joven looks up and sees David and I sitting behind the glass wall. I could tell he was confused but he quickly ran up to the glass.
"Mari!" he shouted, placing his hands on the window, "and....." he removes his hands and sits down, "David." he scowls.
"Hi Jovie." I hesitate.
"Why are you guys here?" he asks.
"We wanted to visit you, we miss you." David replies.
"I'm sorry, I should've said why are you here not why are you guys here."
"What?" David asks.
"What I meant is I don't want to talk to you. I care about Mari and only Mari."
I look at Joven wide-eyed, and when he makes eye contact I look away.
"Mari, you're my everything," he once again stands and presses his hand against the glass, "I need you. You are the only thing that keeps me going, the only thing that keeps me sane."
"Joven, I'm sorry but I'm with Da-"
"but you're with David."
It becomes silent.

"DAVID! FUCKING DAVID!" he breaks the silence, "OF ALL THE PEOPLE OF THE WORLD YOU PICK THAT ASSHOLE?!" he pounds on the glass in David's direction. His vains become clearly visible, he takes off his glasses and snaps them in half. "HE DOESNT DESERVE YOU. HE CAN GO ROT IN HELL!"
"Joshua don't say that!" I scream.
"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO FUCKING DO!" he smashes the glass and it breaks, shattering all over. A huge shard flies towards my face and I fall back in my chair in pain. The last things I remember are Joven trying to jump through the broken window and being stopped by the guard, David running to me and shouting my name, and then black.
