the hunger games: the forgotten year (Sterek)

*Derek entered his Home after stiles walked him back and was welcomed home by a happy black, white and gray furred husky. Derek thought it would be cute to name the dog after him and stiles even though stiles hated the name*

Derek: hey Sterek how's my baby doing Huh? Go get Talia okay boy? *watching as Sterek made a bee line to the kitchen and hopped around a female figure in a long dress ocean, dolphins, a mermaid, jellyfish and a polar bear trying to make his way back to the waters surface print.*

Derek: hey mom! *walking into the kitchen and hugging his mother*

Talia: hey sweetie how did your picnic go?

Derek: *his cheeks turned a light pink.* Um, it was nice. He gave me this as an early birthday present *handing his mother the box holding the necklace stiles gave him.*

Talia: this is beautiful, but your birthday is months away.

Derek: he said he gave it to me early "just in case". *sigh* anyway, where is everyone?

Talia: well your dad should be on his way home from work and your sisters left with their friends about 20minutes ago. Oh your friend Adam came by here earlier. He just wanted to know if you wanted to hang out before the reaping. (Adam Dorota had short yet thick curly red hair with black eyes and freckles.)

Derek: okay I'll give him a call.

*heading up to his room to call Adam. Dialing the numbers and after about 3 rings Derek heard a familiar Scottish accent on the other end*

Adam: ya?

Derek: hey Adam.

Adam: aye Derek. Hou ar ye?

Derek: I'm fine. You should come over and hang out, there's still time before the reaping.

Adam: okai I'll be there in a bit.

*Derek hears a lot of loud talking coming from down stairs*

Derek: okay I have to go see you then. Bye.

Talia: Derek! Come down here please!

*Derek rushed down the stairs and into the living room*

Derek: mom what's wrong?!

*the whole family shouted* SURPRISE!!!

*and there was a guy he hasn't seen since he moved to district 1 with his wife 10 years ago.*

Derek: *gasp* uncle Peter and aunt Marie? *Marie was a tall curvy darkskinned woman with an "capital look" gold painted and gold tatted stars freckled across her cheeks, collarbone and shoulders. Her hair was braided into a white and gold flower design on the back right side of her head. And her full red painted lips smiled widely at Derek.* what are you doing here? I-i mean I'm  happy y'all are here, but after 10 years why are you back now?

Peter: well we have a gift for you and we wanted you to meet two people. *Peter stepping from his wife side and revealing two small fair skinned children. Two little girls looked around the same age of 5 with dimples and green eyes smiled shyly at Derek.* their names Addilyn and Armelle they're twins *addilyn grabbed Peter's hand and pulled down on his arm, knowing she wanted to ask him a question but was to shy to ask aloud Peter bent down on one knee to be eye to eye with her* yes honey? *she turned his head to whisper in his ear* yes honey he's  your cousin *looking in Derek's direction while answering other one of her questions* yes he is very tall isn't he?

Armelle: *giggling and shyly putting a hand over her smile* hi Derek

Derek: *awkwardly smiling* hi there

*peter took addilyn's hand and Marie took Armelle's hand and they removed the girls from the very fancy black, red and gold chair they were sitting in, Derek's eyes widened a bit.* wh-where did that come from?

Marie: your uncle made it for you Derek, its for your 18th birthday. We were hoping the reaping would be after your birthday, but since that isn't the case we decided to come here early. We would have came earlier on the year but business wouldn't let up. Anyway, we hope its to your liking?

*knock. knock. knock. Everyone's head turned to the door in the kitchen where the knocking was coming from*

Derek: I love the chair, but hold on just a second that's probably Adam.

*walking to the kitchen door, unlocked it and opened the door, but there wasn't anybody there. Derek looked on either side of the door, he looked across the street and noticed a odd tree. It was bent as if something was  weighing it down at one end. As he followed the curve with his eyes, a rope came into view. There was a woman with long black hair and torn clothes hanging there, well she seemed to be alive, it felt like she  was staring straight into his soul. He blinked to make sure he was seeing this clearly and then she was gone, the whole tree was and there was an empty field.*

Derek: *speaking so no one could hear him.* what the hell was that?

Taila: *yelling from the living room* Derek tell Adam to come on in.

Derek: *closing the door and was getting ready to return to his family* um that wasn't Adam no one was there.

*knock, knock, knock*

Derek: who is it? *then he heard his friend answer.

Adam: open the door freak.

Derek: *smiling at Adams reply and opened the door.* what's up dude?
