"I don't give a fuck what people have to say about me!" Damon groaned while bench pressing 150 pounds. Damon's aggression consumed him rapidly. He never liked to be confronted on what he did or didn't do for that matter. He had a right to do whatever the fuck he wanted because he was the son of Jonathan Williams. Professional football player, alumni of the University of Bowie, and most respected man in the state of Maryland. Damon was practically viewed as the prince on campus because of who his father is. He made sure everyone knew it.

"I understand Damon. But this situation will not go away without your statement and cooperation" Coach Smith sighed, standing before Damon with a notepad and pen.

"No...Comment!" Damon grunted. He could care less about the story, that was going around campus. He had no comment, he was neither confessing nor denying the rumors are true.

"Williams! Another student is accusing you of raping them! This is serious without your cooperation you will be put off the team!" Coach yelled, now receiving Damon's full attention. Damon placed the weights back on the bench bar and sat up to face the coach.

"With all due respect, that team would be nothing with me. Without my name being a part of it. I bring the scores and the crowd." Damon smirked. He had the right to be cocky he was a star! Nobody could tell him he wasn't. "As my coach; I expect you to believe me when I tell you this story is a joke. I am perfecting my craft every day. I don't have time for childish females"

"This is outrageous!" Coach yelled, he slammed his notepad and pen down next to Damon. "You will write a statement or you will be benched! You could be on this team all you want but you will not play!" Coach Smith exited the weight room without hearing Damon's response.

Alone in the weight room; Damon stood from the bench bar and threw his water bottle towards the floor to ceiling windows.

"Fuck!" He shouted.

"What are you doing?! You could have broken the glass!" Pat his teammate shouted from the other side of the window.

"Man leave me alone!" Damon dropped to the floor of the weight room and slapped his hands against his face.

"What's wrong?" Pat asked as he entered the weight room.

"Coach keeps riding my ass on this stupid campus rumor" Damon's head shook with frustration.

"Are you saying you didn't do it?"

"Are you saying you think I did it?"

"Nah man, I believe you didn't do it" Pat paused "if you say you didn't do it. I'm sure everyone will believe you because you are Damon Williams"

"What's that supposed to mean?" Damon stood from the floor to achieve eye contact with Pat.

"It means if you say it didn't happen. Then the situation did not happen. It will be closed" Pat smirked.

"What the fuck? Why would I rape a random girl? Do it look like I have trouble with females?" Damon questioned.

"I don't know man but good luck with all of this. Just don't fuck up our season" Pat nodded at Damon before exiting the weight room without another word.

Damon stood there stuck in thought before collecting his belongings. He rushed back towards the student apartments without interacting with anyone. Today was not the day for chit chat. However; the universe had other plans.

"Excuse me!" He shouted as the girl in front of him blocked the entrance to the apartment. "Hello! Can you hear?" He tapped the girl on the shoulder.

"What?" She turned and frowned. "Sorry, headphones." She removed one of her AirPods to hear better.

"Well headphones, can you please move?" Damon replied shaking his head.

"Oh no my name isn't headphones it's Paige. Umm Never-mind yeah I can move." Paige moved to the side to let Damon pass her. "Wait! Can you let me into the building? I was trying to get buzzed in but I'm not getting a response from my friend."

"Fuck. Fine, come on." Damon unlocked the door and Paige followed behind him. "Which floor are you going to?" He asked once they got onto the elevator.

"Seventh"

"The athlete's floor?" He frowned. "Are you here to see some football player that's ignoring you?" Damon smirked.

"Umm no. What the heck?" Paige moved away from him in the elevator and stood in the far corner. "I'm here to see my team captain"

"Sorry," Damon mumbled. "You don't have to be afraid of me. Do you play basketball?"

"It's fine. Yes, I play basketball." Paige responded as she stepped off the elevator onto the seventh floor.

"Good to know. It was nice meeting you Paige." Damon spoke.

"You too."
