Azazel, a fallen watcher, the Angel of war.
Within Dudael, is the fallen Angel.
During his imprisonment, Azazel has been raising his daughter.
A young girl whose name is Sera.
Azazel was holding his daughter close, for he, as usual, was protecting his child from the unforgiving Haboob with his wings.
Sera, in an attempt to block out the horrible sounds of the Haboob, listened to her father's strong and mighty heart.
" Sera... " said Azazel.
The young Nephilim looked up at her father.
" My child.... you have only known suffering, loneliness. All because of my sin. Which gave me you... but. I see now, believe now. That it was all worth it... all the pain... " said the Angel of war.
" Why is that, father? " asked the innocent sweet little girl.
Azazel now gave his daughter a warm hug.
" For I have you... " said the fallen watcher.
Sera now started to cry.
She did not cry, when she was alone, for she had her father.
She did not cry, when the sandstorm was tearing away at her skin, for she had her father to protect her.
She now cried, because her father cried.
" It is now time for you to go... " said Azazel.
" Papa.... I don't want to leave you.. " said Sera as she held onto her father, as tight as her little arms allowed.
" You must. You can't suffer for my sins. You must go, and live " said the mighty Angel of war, with the smile of a father.
" Papa... "
Those were the last words Azazel heard from his daughter, as Sera was now teleported away.
He was now alone... amidst his brethren... all suffering from their sins of lust.A bit of context;
The historical Emperor Commodus. Was.... well.... a far cry from his beloved and legendary father.
But!
I am here now to fix that.
I may not do it well, but I will in this story, make the son of Marcus Aurelius Antoninu.
A good and wise Emperor.
I will do justice to the Philosopher Kings bloodline.
The year is 190 CE
Location; Commodiana.Part 1
Sera found herself, amidst something unusual.
She was used to seeing the dry and depressing image that was Dudael.
But now. Everywhere she looked, she saw colors of all kinds, she saw people happy and smiling, she heard laughter of joy and happiness.
Sera was so confused, she did not know what to do.
" Papa.... "
" You look lost "
Sera turned around and saw a kind and warm face of a man.
" What is your name, little one " said the man as he was kneeling down to Sera.
" Sera... "
" Good to meet you Sera. My name is Maximus. Where are your parents? "
Sera now started to cry.
" I see "
Maximus now extended his hand.
" Why don't you follow me? "
Sera noticed that Maximus had the same face as her father, the face of a kind warrior.
Sera took Maximus' hand, and the two of them now walked, towards the palace.
As they were walking.
Sera yet again noticed all the love and joy of the people of Commodiana.
Maximus could now feel Sera's once cold hand, now becoming warmer.
Maximus and Sera now reached the palace.
" My Emperor "
" Two secs Maximus " said the Emperor joyfully.
Maximus was just smiling.
" What is going on? " asked Sera.
" You see that guy over there? That is Giovanni Paolo Pannini, and he is painting something that the Emperor has been waiting for, for a long time, Modern Commodiana "
" It is finished, " said Giovanni.
The Emperor now showed a childlike excitement as he beheld the painting.
Emperor Commodus now looked at the legendary painter.
" Giovanni, please marry me "
The painter giggled.
" I am happy to see that the Emperor is pleased "
" Pleased? My good friend! You have made something that not even Athena or Arachne could ever hope of coming close to! " yelled the Emperor so loud that even Athena heard it. But. Minerva decided not to react on her anger.
For even Athena had to admit that what the painter had made, was truly a masterpiece.
The Emperor now turned to Maximus.
" My loyal- and good general " said the Emperor as he gave his dear friend a hug.
" What can I do for you, Maximus? " said the Emperor with a smile.
Maximus gestured to Sera, who was now hiding behind Maximus' leg.
The Emperor kneeled down, and said gently;
" Hello. And who might you be? " said the Emperor with a smile.
Sera now hid her face behind Maximus' leg.
" Oh no. Please don't be afraid, " said the Emperor worried.
Sera now looked at the Emperor, and Commodus just had a warm and passionate smile.
Sera, now smiled as well.
" My name is Commodus "
" My name is Sera "
" It is an honor and a pleasure to meet you, Sera " said Commodus as he extended his hand. But, Sera instead gave the Emperor a hug.
Commodus could feel that Sera was shaking a bit, so he picked her up, and held her in his embrace.
Commodus then turned to Maximus.
" Where are her parents? "
But Maximus just shook his head.
Commodus now had an expression of compassion on his face.
He could also feel that Sera had now fallen asleep in his arms.
The Emperor walked to a room, so that Sera could rest.
After a while.
Sera awoke, in a new place.
She noticed that she had the Emperor's cloak as her blanket.
She knew that it was the Emperors, for it was purple.
Sera looked around the beautiful decorated room, but, despite the beauty, Sera still felt alone.
" Oh, you are finally awake "
Sera now saw an old man at the door.
She also saw three children, about her age, standing behind the old man.
The old man walked over to Sera, he then gave her a glass of water.
" Hello child. My name is Chrétien de Troyes, and these three little angels are my grandchildren. Florismarte, Segramor and Andronia " said Chrétien as he was pointing at his grandchildren.
Florismarte, Segramor and Andronia were all three just staring at Sera.
Chrétien could see that Sera was getting uncomfortable.
" Why don't you three go and get Zeno? " said Chrétien.
" I thought that he was in Cyprus? " said Segramor.
" He was in Cyprus, he came home last night, " said Andronia.
" Let us go! " said Florismarte.
The three children now ran out of the room.
" They can be a bit of a handful " said Chrétien with a smile.
Chrétien then noticed Sera crying.
" Come now. Why are you crying? " asked Chrétien, with the loving tone of a grandfather.
" I(sniff) miss my papa... "
Chrétien now held Sera in his embrace.
" I know that it can be hard. But please rest assured. I am certain that your father is in a better place "
Sera cried even more, for she knew better.
" My Emperor " said Chrétien.
Sera now saw Commodus standing at the door.
" My dear advisor. Will you please give us a moment? " said Commodus.
" Of course sir " said Chrétien as he left.
Commodus walked over, and now sat on Sera's bed.
Sera held out her blanket, as to return it to the Emperor.
Commodus simply took the blanket and then wrapped it around Sera.
" You need it more than I do " said the Emperor with a smile.
Sera was quiet, as she felt the warmth of the cloak.
" What will happen to me now? " asked Sera.
" Well. I would imagine that you have no place to call home " said the Emperor.
Sera was quiet.
" No matter. For from this day onward. Commodiana is your new home " said Commodus as he had a warm smile.
It was that warm smile, which melted away the last ice on Sera's poor heart, she too, now had a warm smile.
" So pretty... "
Hiding behind the door was Florismarte, Segramor, Andronia, Zeno and Chrétien.
The Emperor gestured that they could come in.
Everyone now entered, and then cheered, for Sera had now become a part of their family.
