The Heartbreak

"Wait Lucy."

"No Natsu I don't want to talk to you."

"But I can explain."

"I don't want to hear your explanation Natsu." She charged up the stairs and shut the door to her

apartment. Natsu, only a few steps behind, put his hand on the door.

"Lucy its not what you think. I was just on a job with Lisanna and after we went back to the guild to

celebrate with some drinks."

"Then why was it only you two!" Where were Happy, Gray, and Erza?"

"Gray and Erza and Juvia were on another mission and Happy followed Carla and Wendy somewhere else."

Natsu pushed a little harder on the door hating being separated from her.

"When I came in you two looked pretty close together," Lucy said.

She remembered seeing them together. Natsu's arm wrapped around her, and how they were laughing

together. It all made her so sick.

"Lucy I swear nothing happened between us."

"Natsu I want to believe you but I cant right now. I feel like you've been avoiding me ever since that night. You've been doing so many jobs and hardly coming to see me. You've even replaced me with Lisanna because you know I haven't been able to go on missions lately."

"I'll make it up to you, after tomorrow's mission..."

"Natsu I think you should go."

She opened the door and handed him a packed bag with his clothes in it. When he looked at her, he saw her red puffy eyes and the tears that were streaming down them.

"You can stay at Lisanna's tonight for all I care," she said as she closed the door and heard him slowly walk out.

She put her back against the door and sank to the ground. She hadn't noticed it until a few minutes later but she was bawling in tears. She continued to sit there not only upset at Natsu but also at herself for not forgiving him, and before she knew it she had fallen asleep.

Lucy awoke to a knock on her door.

"Lucy, it's Gray. We need to talk."
