Trapped

Training

"I can't believe you guys were about to leave me like that, honestly!" Lucy said.

"We said we're sorry Lucy. We said we'd be back," Happy said.

"Yea Lucy, you didn't have to get so mad," Natsu said.

"I'm not mad! We're a team right? We do everything together even training, Got It!"

"Aye," Natsu and Happy said.

After the Tartarus war, Fairy Tail was disbanded and each of the mages went their separate ways. Some decided to join new guilds, others decided to get regular jobs, but most went off training to get stronger.

"Where are we headed anyways," Lucy asked.

"There's this place up in the mountains where Happy and I used to train. We're gonna go up there and live off the land while we train."

"Wait there arern't any inns are markets around there?"

"Nope."

"No restaurants or hot baths."

"Nope we're roughing it."

"Aye sir," Happy said.

"What have I gotten myself into," Lucy said.

They made their way up the gravel road and the side of the mountain. The gravel road crunched under Lucy's worn out boots and the hot sun made her sweat. There was no breeze, and the thick humidity made her feel like she was walking through water. How could they train here its unbearable, Lucy thought.

They eventually arrived at their destination on the mountainside. Around them there was nothing but rocks and a small cave. Not much of a home, she thought.

"Here we are," Natsu said "this is where we'll stay for the next year."

"You're kidding me, where are we gonna find food? Where are gonna bathe? Where are we gonna sleep?" Lucy asked.

"That's easy," Happy said. "We'll fish in the lake we passed a while back, we'll camp in the cave, and we'll bath in the spring inside the cave."

"But..."

"It'll be fine trust me," Natsu said. He gave her one of those bright smiles that made her feel warm all over.

"I trust you," she said.

"Alright! Lucy you go with Happy to the lake and get water and Fish I'll set up the tent and start a fire."

Lucy and Happy agreed and went down to catch fish. When they came back they saw Natsu sleeping in the tent. He must be really tired Lucy thought. She and Happy cooked the fish and after eating decided to turn in as well.

"Hey Happy this tent is really small, where do I sleep?"

"Just sleep next to Natsu."

"Sl...sl...sleep next to... to Natsu. I can't, that's to embarrassing."

"It's fine he won't mind," Happy said as he fell asleep. Lucy had no choice. She laid down facing Natsu to make sure he didnt do anything weird but it was embarrassing. Since it was night the cave was a lot colder than it had been before. It's so cold Lucy thought. In his sleep, Natsu gently leaned his head against Lucy's, and wraped his arm around her. At first she was gonna push him away but she didn't want to wake him up. At least he's warm she thought as she fell asleep.
