"Sophie get a move on please!" Remus said, trying to get his voice to reach his god daughters room.
"Alright Dad!" she yelled back, in pure excitement for her 3rd year, her god father being hogwarts' new defense against the dark arts teacher.
Remus felt a small bit of happiness when Sophie called him dad, he had always wanted a child, even though their poor way of living, money situation and his monthly transformations became a bit of a struggle, but he never let his smile fall, he wanted his God Daughter to understand, but what can a 13 year old understand? when it comes to money they dont realise how important it is. sometimes he cant even provide meals and he blames it on forgetting to go to the store. Even if she did understand, he didn't want to pull her into a sad mood, as she was so cheerful. she was the only reason he can smile. this new job is going to change his life. not only was he working at one of the best wizarding schools, it was his old school."I'm ready!" Sophie said as she rushed down the stairs, trunk thumping behind her.
Remus gave a small smile as he motioned her to go towards him as he took out his wand. in the short space of 3 seconds they had apparated to platform 9 3/4 . they lined up, two tall gingers infront of them. Remus started a chat with Sophie which made the two gingers turn around. they looked at Sophie and Remus confused, the two boys were identical. One decided to speak.
"hey, are you her father?" one on the right asked, still with a confused expression.
Remus paused for a second. "yes i am, why may that be a concern?" he replied.
The identical boys turned to eachother for a few seconds then the one on the left finally spoke up.
"are you working at hogwarts? because normally parents dont come on the train." the boy explained.
Remus finally understood why they are confused.
"yes i do work there, i am your new defence against the dark arts teacher. nice to meet you boys. and what may your names be?" he spoke with a soft spoken voice and and exepting smile.
"Im Fred!" the one on the right spoke.
"And im George!" the one on the left said, both boys now smiling.
"well Fred and George, my name is Remus Lupin, but to you its professor Lupin." he gave a small smile putting his hand out, letting both of them shake it.
"well, professor Lupin, who is this pretty lady next to you?" Fred said, throwing a wink at Sophie, Her face slightly heating up.
Remus gave a weird look at Fred before looking at Sophie.
"intoduce yourself please soph." he smiled once again.
"uh- im Sophie black... nice to meet you." her voice quietened to a squeek at the last word, her face going red in embarrassment.
Throughout their communication the line had shortened and the twins walked in and Remus took her arm, linked it with hers and walked into the train.Sophie wandered into a compartment and sat down next to her father. she calls him her dad because she knows she would probably never meet her real father, not like she wanted to anyway. They put their trunks on the over head compartment as her father led down and went to sleep. she felt bad as he had just had his monthly transformation the night before. he suffers from lycanthropy, meaning every full moon he turns into a werewolf, having to distance himself from Sophie on the night, making sure he doesn't hurt her. if he does hurt her, the injury could infect her with lycanthropy, or kill her. she was the only person who could carry on the lupin name if remus died, because he had been thinking of changing her name for a while now, so she doesnt have the pressure of having a title of the serial killer, sirius blacks daughter. putting her in a position of judgement and hatred.

i was in the middle of a deep thought as 3 students walked in, a ginger boy, a boy with round glasses and black hair and a girl with chestnut brown hair.
"excuse me..." the girl spoke. "please can we sit in here with you? every other place is full."
i finally came to half attention of the situation and lightly nodded still slightly confused and dazed from deep thought
"um..." the girl started looking at me.
"i'm Hermione Granger, the red head is Ron and thats Harry, but you probably already know him."
i was still confused. never in my life have i seen or heard of this Harry kid at all.
"no... who is Harry?" i asked.
"you dont know Harry Potter?! The Boy Who Lived?!" she shot back, surprised.
The boy who goes by the name Harry is now slouched back, blushing and hiding away from me.
"anyways, who are you? are you new? we have never seen you before."
"I'm Sophie Black. and the man next to me is my father, Remus Lupin, soon known to you as professor Lupin. and no, i have been at this school since 1st year." i explained as Hermione just replied with an oh. The compartment went quiet as our conversation ended. after a good half an hour, Hermione spoke again.
" what house are you in? "
" Gryffindor" i replied, honestly not wanting to speak to anyone."oh my gosh! same!" she said happily.
damn this girl is getting on my nerves.
"i'm going to the bathroom, I'll be back." i said, but before i could go further that get up and to the door, the compartment went cold and the train stopped moving as the windows iced over. i quickly opened the door to be faced with a ghost like figure, but instead it was hooded and black. Before i could move it went for me and another came in, and got to Harry. i started to float off of the floor and this white mist got sucked out of me and Harry . "Sophie, Harry!" Hermione screamed before i heard my dad yawn and i fell unconscious.

"Sophie, wake up dear. its me, dad." a soft voice rang though my ears as i opened my eyes, the world started to stretch and circle me as i just led there, disoriented.
a head popped into my vision as it held a pitied smile. Remus seemed more pale than usual, making his scars seem more gruesome. A gentle hand landed on my wrist pulling me up slightly as i felt another put on my back to steady me. i was now in sitting position as the place around me still spun before me.
"They got more out of Sophie then Harry." i heard him explain to someone, although his voice was now fully muffled. bright lights attacked my vision, leaving me helpless as 2 of my senses went to shit. i felt a tap on my shoulder, i still couldn't see, and i fully couldn't hear now. i felt like i was going to pass out, and that i did.
