Miserable- is an understatement for her current condition. It's Christmas Eve- a time for joy and happiness, a time to spend with family and friends. She scoffs at the thought...her beloved father is probably either buried in his work or is probably having a pleasant dinner with her uncle's family praying that the daughter she hated won't return, not that she wanted to...

She reminisces of a time when things were not like this...a time when she was happy...when Christmas meant a time to spend time with family...the Christmas Eve when she was 7 years old...

Back then her mother was alive...they would spend this time as family...her kind and sweet mom, her cold but soft dad, her immoral uncle, her cute cousin Jenny, her strict aunt Penelope , her father's P.A. -kind and cheerful uncle Felix and her angelic nanny Lily...they would have lots of food and sing songs, laugh and play...

Guess nothing last forever...the Christmas that year her mother died in an accident...her mother had pushed her away from the stray car getting hit in the process...She remembers the white snow dyed red- a color she came to hate since, her mother's pretty tourmaline pink colour losing its shine, before losing consciousness...

Since that Christmas things changed, her father- if he can still be called that became cold to her...He rarely came home...on Christmas he would just lock himself in his room and drink endlessly...It was all bearable till she was 9...When she was 9, Lilian left to get married to Felix...honestly she wouldn't have gotten married this early had Claude not pressurized her and Felix to get married and to leave because he "can take care of his daughter". She naively agreed believing her father had gotten better. Had she known then that she was walking straight into the cruel dragon's lair...she would have never let Lily go that early...or better she would have gone with her...After Lilian left Claude fired all the maids in house- of course he kept it well hidden from the everyone else...Since then she had to do all the chores in the mansion from cooking to cleaning to washing, endure verbal insults mostly calling her a murderer that took her mother's life...she was expected to score the top grades at school and had to learn business under his personal tutelage...at times she was mercilessly pushed around for some reason...Claude threatened to lock her inside the mansion without food and sunlight if she dared to speak a word of this to anyone...to the outside world the two of them appeared to be the perfect 'family'- "the cold and indomitable blond duo"...but in reality it was a living hell...

So what is she doing now? The less time she spends in that hell, the less she's tortured, so she made it point to occupy herself every moment of her life in some kind of activities-club or intern...even better so if they come with a pay, since those are the only excuses by which her father will let her out of there. And hence on this cold Christmas Eve, surrounded by red and snow, she's busy organizing a band and to make it worse the lead singer can't make it!!!

*****

"Honestly...does Lady bad luck adore me?!? What kind of a predicament is this anyways?!? How and where on Earth am I supposed to be finding a singer at such an hour on such a day?!?" The 19 year old blonde with jewel eyes grumbled with a worried expression.

"Hey! I heard you need a singer?" The blonde turned around to see an extremely popular senior of her college who she for some reason hated –probably due to insufferable smirk that was always plastered on his face whenever he looked at her –and she means it when she says whenever he looks at her because he has a stoic unchanging face at all other times!!!
