[ Driving back ]

(Reader's POV)

Ashish gets into his car, closes the door as quietly as possible, and sits there in the driver's seat, inhaling softly. A smug smile spread on his lips and he laughed quietly. So naive, he thought.

She really believes I like her lmao

You do.

I do what?

You like her.

Yeah I know. I like Y/N2.

Not her. The other one.

Oh that stupid ass?

You know she's not stupid

Of course she is. Who on earth faints in public?

She loves you, Ashish. At least honor her feelings.

Her feelings, my foot. I honor only blood letters. Feelings can go fish in hell.

And what about your conscience?

A killer cannot afford that much luxury.

Stop this. This is not your place.

It is. It is my home. I belong here. With these people...with...with Y/N2.

You don't

I do. End of debate.

( He lands a solid punch on the steering wheel, and winces in pain, rubbing his red knuckles. )

Ow that hurt !

Nice to know!

Hey how can you say that! I'm hurt!

Yeah she is hurt too. How can you laugh like that?

Will you give it a rest? I adore Y/N2.

But-

Stop.

Liste-

I said stop.

At least giv-

SHUT THE FUCK UP THIS VERY MOMENT !

Fine. But let me tell you one last thing. When your last breath leaves you, you will repent so hard for it that you'd beg for forgiveness, crave for a little bit of humane love but you will not be given so. Mark my words.

( The spot right above his heart suddenly starts aching very badly and he cries out in pain and shock )

His alibi phone rings. He picks it up. A name flashes on the screen, and as he looked at the name, the pain in his chest dissipated on it's own. It was a strange relief, unwanted but unexpected, and certainly, very out of place. He let that name dance around on the phone a few more times, never taking the call. After some time, it became just a name on top of '5 missed calls' on the lock screen of his phone. He stared at the miraculous name again.
