"Hi I'm Dora, and tonight, the 21st December 2020, Jupiter and Saturn will appear closer in the sky, it will be called the Christmas star. Can you say Christmas star?" Dora says to no one in particular. Randy looking at her strangely at first, but remembered his girlfriend had grown up in the jungle without much contact so this probably used to be a coping mechanism for her in the jungle.
Randy then shouted" Christmas Star, also making exaggerated hand movements, this wasn't the first time he had heard Dora ask to seemingly no one if they could say something, and everytime she would do that, he would always say the word in a very over exaggerated way, like a child watching a preschoolers show.Dora snapped out her trance and turned to face Randy. "I'm so glad we get to see it together, Randy." Dora gleefully said, jumping to her boyfriends arms, wrapping him in a tight embrace. The great conjunction, also know as the Christmas Star only happens once around every 20 years, and Jupiter and Saturn haven't been this close together since 1226. The young couple, whom both were very into astrology, were ecstatic that they would be able to see the great conjunction together, and in the clear puruvian sky, which was much clearer than the sky in the city, which is not great for star gazing.
Dora, and her extended family, all went to puru to celebrate Christmas, with the whole family, However, neither Dora nor Diego, wanted to spend time away from there significant others, so both there parents had allowed them to invite Sammy and Randy to spend a week in puru with them for Christmas. Of course, both of them wanted to go but had a bit of trouble convincing their parents, but after hours of them trying to get there parents to let them come. They had gotten consent to go.The group were excited to all spend Christmas together, in the place where there friendship started. The group paired off most of the time, deciding to do different things, most of the time Dora and Randy pairing off and Diego and Sammy pairing off, but always at night they would all go to Dora's room and play a game.
However, tonight Dora and Randy wanted to see the great conjunction, so instead of hanging out with the others, the young couple went outside with a telescope and a hammock set up on some trees for them to sit back on.
As the sun began to set, filling the sky with shades of orange and pink fading into the dark purples and blues of the night sky, Dora and Randy watched, clearly seeing the Jupiter and saturn, so close together, looking as if they were just one extra bight star. As the sky got darker, the teens used the telescope to look in more detail, also taking it in turns to find constellations and other planets.
Soon the young couple just sat in the hammock and watched the stars.
"shooting star, make a wish" Dora said, pointing out a shooting star quickly moving through the night sky.
Both of them closed there eyes and simultaneously made a wish.As the night went on, the young couple grew tired, but didn't want to leave the beauty of the puruvian night sky, or the comfort of each other. Randy wrapped his arm around Dora's shoulder, as she rested her head on his shoulder. Snuggled together in the hammock, both teens eventually fell into the soft embrace of sleep.
When neither Dora nor Randy had come to bed by 1 am, Diego and Sammy grew worried, sneaking outside to make sure there friends (and cousin) were okay. When they saw the two cuddled closely, sleeping on the small hammock set up just outside the small lakeside house, Sammy and Diego couldn't help but smile and glance sweetly at each other, sure they knew they were dating, but seeing moments like this between the two were rare. Neither were the PDA type and would rather show affection in private rather than around people. Diego ran inside and grabbed a blanket, covering the two sleeping love birds.
Gently grabbing Sammy's hand, Diego lead Sammy back inside, to leave Dora and Randy to sleep.
