Kitagawa started with a powerful serve of Kageyama. The ball hitted the floor with an amazing force. All my friends were standing there, with their eyes opened. This serve had without a doubt cooled down their motivation.

"Don't mind! You will get the next one!" you said.

You realized that you were literally shaking on the bench. Crap, you were more nervous that what you thought, and you knew that the team was in the same condition. Not just Shoyo. Even if Izumi and Koji played other sports, they were competitive like any sports players. Even if they sucked at the sport they were playing at.
Kitagawa got a bunch of points until Koji made a incredible spike. Ok, maybe not incredible, but he did a good one. He made the first point of the match.

"Good job, Koji-kun!" Hinata said.

You looked at the score board. It was 10-1. Shit.. it was not going that well.
And you realized that it was the time.

"Shoyo!"

He looked at you with a questioning look. You did a heart with your hands, and he instantly understood.

Kitagawa did the serve. Fortunately, it wasn't powerful, so a guy could have it easily. The ball was going to Izumi, who was going to set it to Koji, but you knew what it was going to happen.

"Izumi!" yelled Hinata.

He looked at him, not sure, but still settled to him. Now, the point was on Hinata's shoulders. But you knew that he could do it.

With an incredible power, he jumped more high than anyone did during the match. With a powerful hand too, he smashed the ball directly on the floor. Everyone went silent and was looking at your best friend. The whistle broke the silence, showing that the point was attributing to Yukigaoka. Shoyo looked at his red hand, and yelled with happiness. All the team hugged each other, happy about this point. I was so proud of him.

"That's my Shoyo-senpai!" you yelled at him.

Actually, you always called each other senpai when you were extremely proud for the other. Like earlier for your serve during the practice.
You looked at Kageyama. You wanted so badly to see his reaction. He was looking at Hinata, with incomprehension.

"Having a hard time, your majesty?" you asked him with a smirk.

He stared at you, wanted really much to kill you right now.

The game passed and without a surprise, the other team won the first set. The final score was 25-5. Honestly, you thought that it was not that bad. For a team that practice for less than one day, five points were kinda good.

"Holly crap, they are very good. It's so embarrassing for us" Koji said while he walked towards the bench.

"There's nothing embarrassing about fighting for the victory. Also, you guys are good for a team that didn't practice" you said for cheering them up.

"I'm gonna fill my bottle of water. Does anyone need a filling too?" the ginger boy asked.

Everyone said no with the head. Shoyo went to the water fountain alone, with his habitual happy walk.

"Let's go guys! You need to be ready the next set!" you said while clapping in your hands.

Hinata's POV

I arrived at the water fountain and started to fill my bottle with the water. I reviewed all the first set in my head. I was particularly proud of my spike. It was the best spike I've ever done in my life, and I'm glad that (Y/N) could see it. I'm always happy when I can make her proud of me. She called me senpai earlier! Of course, I was not in love with her, but it's always great when you make your friends proud of you, especially when it's your best friend. Also, I noticed that a lot of guys looked at (Y/N) in the other team. I hate when boys have an interest for her. I want to be the only one in her life and protect his heart from bad guys. I will always be around for her, this is the promise I'd made when I met her.
