The silence has been stretching on for hours now, Sirius Black thinks, and he swears that if it went on for much longer - he'd go insane. He was so bored.

Reaching over to the space in front of him, he tugged on brunette hair - one that has been hunched over the coffee table in front of the couch he was occupying for way too long now.

"Ow! Sirius, what the bloody hell is wrong with you?" Lucinda yelps, rubbing the sore spot on her scalp as she turns her back from her homework to glare at her best friend.

"Pay attention to me!" Sirius whines, "you've been doing your homework for hours now! It's only the first week of school!"

She pinches the bridge of her nose before sighing exasperatedly, "it's only been 30 minutes, you drama queen."

Despite her retort, she decided to just close the book and keep her quill and parchment, knowing that Sirius gets even more insufferable the longer he's bored.

Standing up and dusting herself off, she moved towards where their record player sat on one of the small tables.

Not much has changed to the space – their space – that the Room of Requirement provides them. It's been this way since the first time they both stumbled upon it. Looking back on it now, it's actually pretty amazing how the Room gave them an escape – both in the form of an actual space, and in the form of friendship. Both of them were really just grateful for it, as they know that within those four walls – they were free to be themselves. No tragic backstories, no miserable home lives, no expectations.

She put on The Monkees, as it just seemed like a good choice for the day, and Sirius let out a sound of approval. Rolling her eyes, she plopped down onto the couch that was facing Sirius.

"So, now that you've got my attention, what do you want to do?"

"Don't know really," Sirius shrugs, "we can just talk?"

"Alright, then, do you have anything in particular you want to talk about?"

"Actually, I do. The boys keep pestering me about the prank you pulled on us during the Welcoming Feast," Sirius starts.

Lucinda scoffs, cutting him off, "It wasn't a prank, I only did that because you all did it first."

"Well, we certainly didn't think you'd retaliate with bigger! Come on, Cinds, we just messed with your nails, you messed with our hair," Sirius argues, "but anyway, that's not where I was going with this. The boys were actually quite impressed."

"Am I supposed to be happy about that?" Lucy raises her eyebrow, chuckling, "to be honest, that doesn't really sound like a good thing."

"What? Of course it is, now they want you to hang out with us more often!"

"Trust me, Siri, that is not good. At all," she rolls her eyes, "besides, knowing you lot, you'd want me to join in on your pranks and trust me, I want no part of that."

"I always sit with you and Millie at the Ravenclaw table, why don't you want to sit at our table? You can even take Millie with you!"

Sirius pulls the puppy dog eyes, and Lucy almost groans out loud. If there was anything in particular Sirius Black excelled at, it was getting what he wanted. And no matter how hard she tried, even she wasn't totally immune to his stupid puppy eyes. He honestly resembles a kicked puppy when he did the thing with his eyes with the matching pout. And the worst part was that he knew it.
