IT'S BEEN MONTHS SINCE SHE'S BEEN MISSING.
𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗖𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟 boy the first few hours were unsettling. Maybe she'd gone to Lydia's party. Maybe her phone had died. These things happened, right? Scott tried to believe it. Tried to steady his hands. But the silence in the house gnawed at him like something alive. And by morning, when her bed was still cold, and her shoes untouched by the door - he knew.
She hadn't come home.
Not that day.
Not the next.
Stiles, of course, unraveled the fastest. His little sister wasn't downstairs making pancakes, or blasting music through the walls, or dumping ice water on him as revenge for eating her cereal. She was just...
Gone.
No note. No last words. Just vanished like a scream into a storm.
By the end of the week, the air in Beacon Hills felt wrong. Thick. Watching. Like the town itself had inhaled and forgotten how to breathe. Between Scott, Stiles, and Allison, there were no explanations - only theories with too many sharp edges.
Whispers ran through the school like a disease.
She didn't run away.
She was taken.
She's probably already dead.
Every shadow grew teeth. Every hallway felt longer. And in every locker door reflection, someone imagined a figure just out of sight. By the end of the first month, the Stilinski family, what was left of it, heard the words they thought they'd buried with Claudia.
"We're so sorry for your loss."
And this time, they weren't even given a body. Because how many people return after vanishing without a trace?
Let me spare you the suspense:
Not many.
And those who do?
Come back wrong.
Aurora was nothing like Stiles. Whilst twins, the two were polar apart.
Where he deflected with sarcasm and frantic wit, she met the world with wide eyes and open hands. She was relentless in her kindness - an almost compulsive need to help, to mend, to understand. Always moving, always fluttering from one person's hurt to the next like it might unravel her if she stopped. And somewhere in the blur of it all, Scott had found her... breathtaking. Not just in her beauty, but in the way she never flinched from being soft in a world that rarely deserved it.
