IT'S FRIDAY. Before school starts again and I already hate it.

I'm sure that Gen has already spread the news that we have broken up. And I hate when people are murmuring when I'm walking down the hall. And I am bound to walk down the hallway in a day...

I just wonder what Gen had gone with this time. Cause every time we break up she thinks of a whole scenario, even the times when we break up and nobody except for Gabe and Darrell, and of course, Emily Nussbaum know. Cause Emily is Gen's best friend since they parted ways with Lara Jean. If you ask me, she's a complete gossip girl, but she's Gen's friend, not mine.

-So, here's the thing. You're coming to the party with us. – Darrell sprawls on the armchair in my living room.

- Is that the reason you two insisted on coming back home with me? – I ask as I open the fridge.

Gosh, I need something cold...

-That's the first reason... - Gabe sits on the couch.

- I don't need to ask for the second one, you're going to tell me even if I don't want to, right? – I peer from the fridge's upper door.

- It's so simple. – Gabe stretches his legs on the table. – I ran out of milk in the morning and I have nothing to dissolve my protein in.

- Your protein? – I take a step back from the fridge. – You can melt it in a glass of water...

- C'mon, man, the taste is not the same. – Gabe protests as he leans his head on his folded at the elbow arms.

I raise my eyebrows like "seriously" cause I know for sure that they just came to make me go out somewhere else not only to go the gym and get back home afterwards.

-Fine, we came to get you out of here cause we knew you were going to say 'no' to the party if we had called you on the phone.

-You're right, Darrell, I'm saying one huge "NO".

-Dude, you can't sit at home, crying your eyes out because of Gen. It's been 4 days. – Darrell insists.

- I'm not crying my eyes out. – I protest this time. –I'm not 13 year old girl. – I say and realize I am really not sad, maybe angry or disappointed, but not sad.

I close the fridge. I forgot what I was looking for.

-I just don't want to go out tonight.... –Darrell raises his eyebrows in response. – Okay. – I roll my eyes and lean to the countertop. – I don't wanna go out the last couple of days, but it's not because of Gen. I need to sleep enough before we start school again and besides you two don't have the right to blame me. Neither of you has a girlfriend. – I cross my arms.

- That was harsh. – Gabe says affected.

- Yeah, we can't blame you but we also can't excuse you because you haven't told us the reason of the break-up. – Darrell smirks as he just has said the most provocative sentence.

- And I won't tell you. It's between me and Gen.

Yeah, I usually tell Gabe and Darrell the reasons for our break-ups, but I am not the type of guy calumniating the girl. Gen did something I can't swallow this time but I don't need to spread it and change my friends' opinion about her, just because it affected me more this time.

- C'mon, man. You can't let Genevieve spread wrong information. – Gabe tries to convince me but he's more like the muscles of the gang, not the brain.

- Just f*ck it. – I wave with my hand to show them that it's not a big deal. - I don't care what she's saying.

Actually, I'm still affected. I still can't believe that she did it, AGAIN.
