Those days , when the world was still young,there was a large hill behind where Navarangahala is today.On top of this hill,at the highest point,there was a mysterious old castle. Nobody really knew who actually lived there , but still the castle was there for anybody to see ! Those were the days when the sea of bambalapitiya was very close to the walls of Royal college. there were strange types of fish and other sea animals in the sea those days . some were very friendly with the cubs ,but the others were not.
Oh Iam now deviating from the story. it's about those mysterious castle on the hill I want to tell you about .
The principal had put a rule that no student should go to that hill ,especially not to the castle . once that rule was put even the Holden who never dreamt of going there wanted to go . but then, nobody dared to go . Nobody knew why the principal had put that rule , but nobody dared to ask . but everybody knew that that was the rule .
The prefects were there to check whether the children had brushed their teeth ,washed their faces and combed their hair an if their shirts had to college in correct colour ,but even they did not know why the principal had put a such a rule. The prefects got the children to open and close their little mouths to check whether they were clean , they got the children to bend down to check whether the hair was properly combed ,but even they could never discover why the principal had ruled that mysterious hill was out of bonds . nobody ,not even the teachers dared to ask him why .
