A Visit to mom

Y/n POV

I am currently on my way to see my mom. I try and visit her at least once a week. But I haven't seen her in awhile since I was doing research inside the inner walls. I appreciate how lucky I am to have at least one of my parents. That's why I try and see her often. I also don't want her to feel lonely without me or dad there. Ever since my dad died from sickness I didn't want her to feel like I abandon her or something.

I get to her house and knock on the door.

Mom: Who is it?

Y/n: It's me mom.

She then opens the door and let me in.

Mom: I'm so glade you came to visit! I haven't seen you in awhile. I thought you forgot about your mother.

She had a beautiful motherly smile on her face.

Y/n: Of course not. I would never forget about you. I just had a lot of work to do is all.

Mom: Speaking of work...... when are you gonna quit that scout regiment.

Y/n: Mom you know I'm not quitting. You ask me this every time.

I know how my mom feels about the scout regiment. She doesn't want me to risk my life to save humanity but it's something I have to do. I know she only wants the best for me and she probably couldn't bear to see anything happen to me but I'm not going anywhere any time soon.

Mom: I hope you realize that being in that regiment is silly. You could've picked something safer.

Y/n: I'm trying to save humanity. I know you don't want anything bad to happen to me but I promise you I won't go out there and die. I couldn't live with myself if I died and left you alone. Good thing I would be dead so I wouldn't have to live with myself.

Mom: Hmmm. I hope to one day convince you into quitting........So did Levi say yes to your proposal yet?

Y/n: Heh. No.

Mom: Y/n I think you should give up on him maybe marry that handsome commander of yours. I wanna see you get married before I get to old and die.

Y/n:Mom I'm sure I'll get married before you die. And can we not speak of you dying because that's something I don't want to think about. I hoped you would live forever but we all know that's just a dream. But the important thing is I have you here with me right now!

Y/n: Mom I hope you know that I appreciate you and I love you very much.

Mom: I know sweetheart. You tell me every time you visit.

Third Person POV

You always let your mom know how much you love her. Especially since anything can happen at anytime. You realized that when Wall Maria had been breached. It was four years ago when you had to save you mom. You were 23 at the time.

Flashback

You couldn't believe what you were hearing. A Titan had kicked a hole into Wall Maria and other Titans were coming in. Your heart began to sink. You had to save your mother quick.

You quickly strapped on you ODM gear. You were going at a fast speed to your house. Killing any Titan that come across your path in a blink of an eye.

When you made it to your house you saw a Titan standing above your mother reaching for her. You quickly sliced the Titans neck.

You picked up you mother with one arm.

Y/n: We're getting you out of here! I'll be damned if I let a stupid Titan kill my mother.

Your mother was speechless. She had tears in her eyes. She thought that her life had surely come to an end but her own daughter came and saved her.

After you got her to safety you gave her a kiss on the cheek.

Y/n: Mom, I'm heading back out there. Please be safe and I'll see you later.

Mom: You be safe too.

You liked telling people see you later because it indicated that you would be back. Saying bye to you meant saying goodbye forever. So see you later was like something to guarantee that you'll be back and weren't leaving forever.

You went and killed as many Titans as you could and helped many people.

End of flashback

You and your mom enjoyed tea while having a good conversation about any and everything.

Y/n: Well mom I had a great time with you today but I probably should be heading back to HQ.

Mom: That's ok sweetie as long as you visit soon.

Y/n: Ok mom I'll see you later.

Mom: Ok sweetie. Love you!

Y/n: Love you too!

It hurts every time you leave your mom. You feel like she's sad when you're not there. You wish she could come with you but you don't want to put her in danger if something were to happen. You always try and make the visits with her last because you never know when it might be your last visit.
