Dear Readers,
I enjoyed writing the last chapter from the point of view of Suzie - it was cool to write her perspective on the drama unfolding. This chapter is similar - the point of view of Angel. Hope you guys enjoy it!
Please excuse any typos I make, and I LOVE to read your comments, so be sure to leave me your feelings. Now I understand fully why Rick enjoys torturing people so much.
Happy Reading!
<3 Lunie

Angel
As I sit at home and wait with Hannah, our college-age neighbor, I wonder where Daddy went. He was on his phone texting someone, and then he just ran to his room and threw some stuff in a suitcase and left. No goodbye, not even a kiss on the forehead like usual. I felt forgotten - invisible.
Then a couple minutes later, Hannah came in and told me that Daddy had to go somewhere, but wouldn't tell me anything else. It's been a week since those few moments.
The door opens. I run to it, ready to fling myself into the awaiting arms of my father, and he'll squeeze me and tell me he was thinking about me and explain everything, and he didn't forget about me, he just panicked about something stupid and unneccessary, he didn't forget me -
But it's not him. It's Mrs. Holland, Hannah's mom.
"Hello, dear," she says cheerfully, setting her bag down on the floor. "I'm gonna make you some dinner, alright?" She bustles into the kitchen and starts cooking. I groan internally.
Mrs. Holland has been making dinner for the past week, and every night she make the same thing - upside-down day. You know, pancakes and stuff. Only we can't have syrup on our pancakes because it's "not healthy", and without it the pancakes are dry and flat. The only other option is stale Cheerios, and I wasn't fond of cereal to begin with. I got tired of it after the first night, so don't even talk to me about the rest of the week. I've quickly become an expert at choking down tastless food.
Tired of my neighbors running my house, I run up the stairs and shut myself in my room. After a few minutes I pull my laptop out from under my pillow. It was the only thing I got for my 6th birthday, and the only thing I wanted. I pull up google.
Suzanne Di Angelo I type quickly. This is my most used search. I go to images.
The first image that pops up is her 4th grade school picture. Her hair is not so wild, and she uses some makeup to conceal her scars so that they are not so pink and visible. They're still most definitely there, though.
The other images are like the first, only some with Nico and some with friends and some with other people. Sometimes she's at the zoo, or at the playground, or on vacation, or trying stuff out at the place where she lives - camp something-or-other. I search something else.
Suzanne Solace I type, and press enter.
It's mostly pictures of other older women, but there's a couple pictures of a baby with blonde wisps. I go to the website these photos are from.
It's Facebook. I create an account quickly, only so I can get in. They're part of a post called "New Addition!" by Will Solace - Daddy.
The post went as follows:
Hey guys! Family, friends, and random acquaintances: please welcome the newest member to the Solace family... Suzanne Nikki Solace!
And then there are several pictures of an, admittedly adorable, blonde baby. Suzanne.
