Children talk.

You're sat on yours and Ariana's shared bed playing the xbox she got you last Christmas. Ariana walks in.

"Hey princess." You say.

"I cant sneak up on you can i?"

"Nope." You say.

She smiles.

"We need to talk."

Them words instantly strike a strong fear into you. You pause the game and turn to her.

"Did i do something? Whatever i did, i didn't mean it i swear."

"No, no babe you didn't do anything. This is something that will definitely change our lifes anyway." Ariana says.

"Okay? What is it?"

She sits down next to you.

"You want kids right?"

"Yeah. I always have. Why?"

"Well, i was thinking, maybe we could.... maybe we could adopt?" Ariana says.

"How long have you been thinking about this?" You ask.

"Few hours."

You nod.

"Okay, maybe, but could we properly discuss this before we decide that it's a good idea?"

Ariana nods.

"Yeah that's okay. I was just thinking cos we both want kids."

"It's okay. I mean, if we were to adopt, what age? Boy or girl?"

"Maybe baby age?"

"That sounds reasonable. Cos that way the baby grows up with us."

"Exactly. Now, about the other one." Ariana says.

"See, i kinda want a girl but then again i kinda also want a boy."

"We could adopt twins?" Ariana offers.

"That sounds good. But the whole birthday situation. It'd be like Christmas."

"Yeah i see your point." Ariana says.

"So what do we do?"

You two spend the next few days before deciding on not adopting but doing the other thing.

That way, Ariana can grow a strong bond with the baby.

You both got home about 10 minutes ago and settled in bed.

"Am i gunna have to deal with you being a psycho for 9 months?" You ask.

"That's a little mean." Ariana says.

"Aww. My poor baby." You say.

She swats your head and you laugh.

"Love you princess."

Ariana smiles. She gets butterflies whenever you call her princess. Just like the first time you called her princess.

"Love you too."
