Mya has been in and out of the hospital since she was eight years old, when her mind started playing tricks on her. She was never sick, but her mind has always been. At 17, she’s in the hospital again—for the fifteenth time. While there, she’s pretty much given up on her mind and everything in it. When her best friend, Charlie, comes to her and tells her that her loved ones are in danger, and she’s the only one that can help them, how far will she go to get her mind back?

But Audrey gets her worst nightmare: leukemia. Audrey, afraid to hurt her friend with her news leaves the town with her mom. Audrey goes through, what she calls, "Abeyance".
