A series of events causes Armed Detective Agency member Osamu Dazai and his partner Doppo Kunikida to switch their souls into each others bodies. After encountering a rather dangerous criminal on quite a treacherous job (especially with the brunette's chronic conditions of pain and fatigue) Dazai and Kunikida get injected with a serum and wake up a few hours later with a different voice and whole variety of different problems. How will the two detectives survive? Will Kunikida be able to cope with the memories contained in Dazai's body that constantly scream at him or will Dazai want to return to the horror story that he used to barely endure before? He's got a reputation to uphold after all... Dazai's burden is Dazai's burden alone.
