I protagonisti di questi due diari si chiamano Alberto Bellaria e Rossella Ferri, due professori di un liceo a Bari, in Puglia. In questi anni gli assassini sono costretti a nascondersi a covi segreti, e per le strade cercare di non destare dubbi fra la gente dei tempi moderni. I tempi e i costumi cambiano ma la storia no: all'interno dei due diari si raccontano i vari scontri tra gli assassini e gli agenti templari dell'Abstergo per la conservazione dei manufatti della Prima Civilizzazione. L'Abstergo ha l'obiettivo di sfruttare questi manufatti per produrre nuove tecnologie avanzate, il moderno Ordine degli assassini rifiuta tutto ciò e punta a conservare e mantenere questi potenti strumenti.
