To forget is to kill. The souls of the Great War were forgotten, their sacrifice was naught for a second war came. The war began with negligence, as the bringers of this new madness forgot humanity. And there in the city of Warsaw was the greatest bulk of it all. For the forgetfulness of humanity brought unbenounced suffering. It brought death to many Stars. It brought destruction twice to a city, by bomb then shell. It brought two Uprisings, by Jew and Pole. It brought two survivors, A Jew and a Pole. It brought two soldiers, a Fritz and a German. It brought humanity at its best, at its worst. It brought light, dark. It brought Stars, Night. This not a tale of adventure or love. For a time as this could not be such. The only kind of story that fits this tale is of one of tragedy. It is only fitting for an encryption of death and sacrifice. As is a tale of poor souls living in the now dark Poland. Credit for making the cover of this book: MissFantasyy. (Please check out her profile for some excellent books!) (Do note that this a historical-fiction novel. All characters are made up by me. The story is inspired by real events in history.)
