Lacers
The steering wheel jerked to the left on its' own. Ash laughed uncomfortably from the passenger seat, sending me a shrug. "The thing needs a major alignment." When the steering wheel jerked back to the right- once again- on its' own, I sat helpless in the driver's seat trying to form words. "Ash-", I'd started to stay. That's when I noticed the clutch press itself down, and the gear knob shove into fourth gear... Ash reached for the emergency break while I snatched at the wheel. Nothing. We both shared a look of panic, blue eyes clashing with my brown... My dad bought a satanic car.

Sage Matthews lead a pretty normal life. Except she didn't have that many friends. Okay, maybe not even one friend.... And every summer she was forced to work with her father at a mechanic shop where her childhood best friend pretended she didn't exist. That was Sage's normalcy. Sure, it sucked watching her old best friend grow into someone who was almost unbelievably handsome; it sucked watching him surround himself with people- and what sucked the most was that he was embarrassed to be around her. But a lot of things sucked in her life, like the fact she didn't have a car and she was a senior in high school. That all changes when her dad buys her the "Shittiest Car Known To Man".... But no one told them that the car had a mind of its' own. The car has its' own plan- Ash and Sage are just along for the ride.
