I am in a group for re-homed birds on face book. We are all very close, almost like family. A good friend of mine had a cockatiel named Kato for almost 30 years. For the last year Kato's health has been failing and recently Kato flew over the rainbow bridge into heaven. We were all grief-stricken and many tears were shed for Kato and my friend and his wife. If you have ever had the honor of truly loving and bonding with a bird you will understand. I also lost two of my babies recently. I wrote this little story about my girls Romeo and Juliet meeting his Kato in heaven.

RockWing ends up having a fight with several of the other flocks, and they want Lucky to back out of leadership of the flock, before the whole flock is killed. Meanwhile, SkyWing has its own problems with their missing leader, and is forced to follow a temporary, uneducated bird, as their beta falls victim to ground predators and is left in serious condition. While all this goes down something starts killing off the flocks. No signs of struggle, illness, nothing, they are dropping dead.

Once upon a time, Samuel Swerling, a World War II veteran and inventor, decided to build a park. It would be filled with trees trained to grow in such a way that children could easily climb them. He hired Alonso Hannah, a one-armed arborist, and began to turn his dream into the reality. After five years, Alonso and Sam had created a small, privately-owned park in a big publicly-run city. Sam married Ghita, bought an apartment across the street from his park, and had five children. People fell in love at the Samuel Swerling Park.
