Naruto was not a normal kid, that was clear to everyone who knew him. Being treated like an outcast from as far as he could remember made him often wonder how it's like to be normal. One of the better stories I've done. It's still not great though. It's been described lovingly by some of the people I've shown it to as "Depressing" "Sad" and "Meh" which I have taken to be a good sign. Compared to my other stuff. This is actually a standalone excerpt of a novel I'm working on (I.E. abandoned) of the same name about some kids that are trying to fix up a plane because of reasons. Ashley, the main character of the short story here, is one them. It's pretty much her backstory actually and why she in particular wants to fix the plane. This was actually inspired by a song "Down" by Jason Walker, which is pretty good (but it is a sad song. I think there's a theme here). Oh and a visual novel called If My Heart Had Wings (yes, I'm a weeb) which has a similar theme (but less sad). So... Yeah. Enjoy, I guess.
