Instead, it revealed me. At the Academy of Eldoria, shadows slipped past ancient wards, and students fell screaming. In my desperation, I burned myself nearly to death to keep them safe. Now Kael, Calista, Thorne, even little Vivi, they fight beside me, yet I wonder how long they'll stay once they learn the whole truth. This is not a tale of chosen heroes. It is a tale of a cursed girl who wields light with shaking hands, and who loves with a heart chained in shadow.
