The barrier is holding, but the corruption is spreading. Following the explosive events of Book 1, Alex Fisk and his best friend, Marvin Bohrer, realize that standing against the encroaching forces of the Dark Aether requires an army unlike any other. The Apothicon entity, Agamemnon, is bleeding his dark influence across reality barriers, corrupting everything from the galactic Empire to the Hollow Earth. To stop an apocalyptic multiversal war, the Ghostbuster Rangers must drastically expand their ranks at the Infinite Mindscape City. The recruitment drive is on. From brokering an unprecedented alliance with Starfleet's greatest Captains aboard the USS Enterprise, to reaching through the Force alongside Luke Skywalker to resurrect the Jedi, the team is pulling out all the stops. In the arena, the Z-Fighters are pushed to their absolute limits, while deep in the Monsterverse, Godzilla and Kong are granted cybernetic Zord enhancements to form the colossal, earth-shattering Monarch Megazord. But as the coalition swells with fighting game champions, horror survivors, and legendary heroes, the heavy crown of leadership begins to weigh on Alex. With new Rangers stepping up, including Marvin taking the mantle of the Olive Drab Ranger, the team must learn to synchronize their immense powers. When Emperor Palpatine aligns with Agamemnon to weaponize the Dark Aether, the united forces of the multiverse will be forced into a trial by fire.
