Samara may have died, but the mysterious force of her coming back from dead had granted her the life to age to an adult. When you discovered a tape a week ago from present time, you watched then suspiciously received a phone call... a voice on the other end of the line repeats a 2 phrase, both being similar but one being slightly longer than the other... "7 Days. 7 Days is when I'll get you!" then it went dead on the line. I don't own the Ring or any of the Samara story line to the movies... This is my own take on it.
