Holland Sellers. She's your average senior in high school with a high GPA and multiple jobs. She has dreams to go to college and make her way in the world. There is one thing about her that is different, though: she owns a car service. For drunk teenagers. The Designated Driver Service is the brain child of Holly. She goes to a different party each Friday night and drives kids home. It keeps drunk kids from crashing cars, and sober people from getting hurt. Her reasoning? Holly is an orphan. She has been for eight years of her life. Her parents died because of a drunk driver. So now, she has decided to change the fate of her town for the better. Until, in the weeks before her eighteenth birthday, she gets a new piece of information about her parents' deaths that turns her world on its head. Now, she has custody of an eight-year-old brother she didn't know existed. She has to navigate the waters of change and keep her grades afloat all at the same time. How will she do it? And don't mention the egotistical jerk known as Briggs Huxley or her middle school crush, Steven Booker. With all the other stuff going on, she doesn't have time for romance. Right?

No." In unfortunate events, Dana is left babysitting her friend's sister at an outrageous party she didn't want to attend in the first place so her friend can go out on a date with some cute guy all because she's too nice of a person. The party turns out to be a little more hectic than she originally thought and she leaves thinking about the guy, how to get Syd home, and that this better look really good on her resume.

In between working as a pizza delivery girl, dealing with the popular kids' drunken antics, and studying to get into college, she has no time to sort out her complicated feelings for her father... or for the handsome boy she works with, who also happens to be one of the school's football stars.

Pheobe Wallace (pronounced Fee-bee) is a nerd, who isn't quite a nerd .. armed with her glasses and love for plaid at first glance she would he ...immediately categorized as queen of the nerds. But if you look deeper you'll see the brain or lack thereof behind the glasses isn't the normal brain of a nerd: big and juicy and ready to soak up more knowledge. No, behind the glasses is a quirky and sarcastic and utterly impatient brain that is ready to fire and insult at anyone... even it's owner. Between her own bitch of a conscious and nonexistent temperament, pheobe is constantly on edge. but when gets a call in the middle of the night by a drunk and utterly annoying Jack Davis. Pheobe finds her self constantly on the edge of the fence, teetering a little closely to the edge of the fence that is screaming 'Kill the jackass'.
