Dominik Santorski is the son of wealthy, success-driven parents, and his parents couldn't pay less attention to him. After a series of humiliating events, classmates begin to make assumptions of him being homosexual and begin to ridicule him online. Dominik soon refuses to go to school due to the humiliation, though his final exams are approaching fast. He escapes his problems by isolating himself from everyone, staying in his room, and hiding with people that he met in an online chat; they refer to themselves as the Suicide Room.
