Sadie and her best friend and his brother (the Cooper brothers )in grades 10 and 11 and 12 , in the small town of CrystalCove . The boys are into drugs . Steve more than Greg . Sadie isn't into drugs and drinking , she only smokes cigarettes and cigarellas . The Cooper brothers get caught with crystal meth and weed which in CrystalCove 19 and up to legally buy cigarettes , cigarellas , weed and alcohol . and the kids aren't even legal . They go on the run from the law.
