Earlydraft Stories

In the year 2035 it was discovered how to merge human genes with animal ones, without any bad after effects. With that, a lot of labs were starting to appear, with their goal being to create such "hybrids" as they were called. Unfortunatley most of those labs were illegal with the "sicentists" there mistreating their own hybrids. In one of those labs, they created Julia. A human-cat hybrid that was meant to be sold to the Russian military, as the lab she was created in was on good terms with the Kreml. Julia was created to be the perfect night ops solider. Which meant she had hightened senses, better night vision, and the ability to shapeshift into a cat or transform parts of her body to make her more stealthy (for example feet for cat paws). Unfortunatley as said before, the lab she was created in wasn't exactly legal, and the scientist there didn't care about the wellbeing of their creations. Julia was no exception. From as early as she can remember she was abused, mistreated and neglected by the staff. As did everybody else. Her childhood was basically nonexistent. It consisted of mainly training and trying to make friends with other hybrids when the staff wasn't looking, as they strictly prohibited hybirds from interacting with each other. But she did manage to be friends with one of the others. His name was Falco, as his name would suggest he was a human-falcon hybrid, who was created for scouting purposes, like surveying a area before a operation takes place. He had a very strong mentallity which also inspired Julia to push on. They were almost like lovers when nobody was around. Constantly near one another, being couply, and just being there for each other. They kept each other sane in that hellhole. They met when they were 11 and ever since then they were there for each other. When the hybrids turn 19, they were sold off to the Russian military, as it was part of the deal. This was supposed to be another one of those days where the 19 year olds

A young man takes a test inside a video game, which he thought was normal at the time. Soon after, his life is thrown for a loop when he is drafted for a dream job which turns out to be more than it seemed. This a story of normal people doing the extraordinary in order to survive what most people fear would happen in the future.

The title is correct. I don't think I'll continue to post here; this is by request of a friend (thank you!). It's going to get pretty paranormal. The cover is my art and the first photo is a stock photo.
