Historias de Færies

She thought she was a normal girl. But not any more.

'The little girl skipped up her stairs, unable to control her excitement of what to of what was. It was the winter solstice which meant Elærni would be visiting her. She bounced into her bedroom, calling at her bemused parents to hurry up and put her to bed this instant. Humouring their little girl, they sped up, putting her twitching frame to bed. As the great grandfather clock in the hallway struck midnight, the young girls eyes snapped open. She waited impatiently for the last strike to be heard before moving towards the window and quietly flinging it open wide. Her loose nightgown floated in the chilly winter breeze. Her breath caught in her throat as thousands of lights darted towards her and through her open window. The lights buzzed around happily greeting the child as she began the glow and suddenly there was a blinding light and the child was gone, only to return early that morning covered in petals and dirt.' As a young child, Anastasia was captivated by myths and legends, mostly because she knew most to be true. She was outcast by her fellow class mates at the age of 9 for still believing in færies when in fact, the rest had outgrown that habit months ago. Now as a teenager, she has lost a lot of faith in Færies, Elves and the like but it is still there. Instead of her yearly visits to Alkhelohen, she now spends winter solstice trying to work out which toping would go best with her potato based pizza. But, after one camping weekend goes bizarrely wrong, she is thrust once again into the life she left behind not too long ago...

this is another on the fly idea that i just had it is based on the idea that færies are real and they live underground and underwater. They're not allowed up to the surface yet one færie doesn't heed the warnings given and heads there. What horrors and frights are in store for this little creature? Read on to find out...

(I don't own the book cover) (I got the idea of this book from tumbler user linkedsoul 's short story "the five times you refuse to give the fæ your name and the one time you do" which is a pilot for the novel they are working on called "Stories of Qelt" I recommend looking at the pilot and reading the snippets they posted of the novel, they also have other works I recommend reading. ☪ Fæ's are never something to mess with, you should always keep your guard up around them for they can twist your words in just the right way to benefit them. This is what happens when a young girl got caught talking to the Fæ called Marx. They accused her of witchcraft, humans but just as dangerous as the Fæ who granted them power, they exiled her, then blamed her when a drought hit the villager well all except for her. Their solution for the drought? A sacrifice to the Fæ who they thought caused it in hopes of pleasing them. Who to pick for the sacrifice is the biggest question - oh why not the one person who is under Áed's protection, and while they're at it why not just burn her house down to, destroying the years of research and many different - valuable - books she has gathered through the years?
