Sheriff John Shepard Dawson lives in Detroit, Michigan, with a bottle in his hand, a mute, traumatized girl in his care, and a mountain of self-loathing. Crime is more daunting than ever, but Shepard is better at fighting the city's darkness than confronting his own. His only light is his deputy-bright, loyal, and the one person who sees through Shepard's walls. Kyle and John have been close for awhile but soon they gain feelings for eachother. While there happy James is fighting for John's love.

Andreas is a cop who has a detective as a friend. He is 31 and has a cat who is his 2nd best friend. He usually comes to work early to get everything ready. Unfortunately, one day he comes to work really late, everyone questions why he's late. As it turns out, he had some tragic events occur the day before. It all has to do with a dead cat, a couple of letters, murder and a kidnapping! Andreas and Liah will try their best to search for the person committing these felonies and put them behind bars. On their way through the knots of the string they uncover far worse than what they anticipated. Please forgive me for crappy writing. This story is still under development by me.
