Before Jess's death Sam had became friends with a sweet normal girl or so he thought she was normal. Nikkiah or Nikky for short came from a family of very skilled demon hunters just like Sam. But she wanted to get out of that life style and fell in love with someone who she thought that was human. Her new found boyfriend turned out to be possessed by a Demon who was trying to get Sam and Nikky back into the hunting life style. The demon killed both Jess and the poor boys meat suit. But the way the two were killed the two very skilled hunters knew exactly what had done it. Sam gets Nikky to join him and his older brother dean on the road to find the boys dad and to kill the bastard that killed their mothers and significant others.

There's a cafe in an alley in London it's pretty normal except all the staff are monsters. (I tried)
