It was a quiet morning that fell over the yellow jello mountains, the gooey sunlight filtering across the world of all things candy, sugar speckles glimmering in its shine. It was just like every other day... and then they appeared.
Moaning drifted over the bouncy gelatin, gummy bears and animals bouncing across the sweet terrain, pieces of their ears and faces and bodies missing. They craved the delicious taste of their own flesh, but they dislike the taste of their own, for they are sugar free. Fake, replacement sugar coats their gelatin insides, making them feel sick and... carnivorous.
They hide in the forest of gumdrops and candy canes, shielding themselves from the sun. They sit in wait for something magnanimously wonderous tasting, mumbling to themselves indecipherable things. They're closing in on the closest gummy town.
This is the first wave.
