17 year old Brandon was planning on going fishing with his 12 year old sister Jess, when the scariest thing ever happened in his "dream". What happened? Why did it happen? Was this dream trying to tell him something? All questions Brandon never got an answer to until...

Scarlett and her friends have always spent every fall at a family farmhouse for as long as they can remember up until the year they turned 16. That year was different, but not only because a new comer tagged along. That year was fill with a different type of fear than what they used to always experience. This story functions as a moment Scarlett looks back at that one year where everything happened, now fifteen years later when things finally fully unfold. Note: I wrote this story for a contest where I had to create any story that started with the line "Are you there, God? It's me..." And I had to keep the word limit under 3000 words. I apologize if the ending seems abrupt, but as I said I had to keep this under 3000 words. I may end up adding more later on to fully finish it. I hope you enjoy!
