Skye has a very confusing life, being juggled between foster families while trying to find her way through the ninth grade. While in a family with one younger sister not thrilled about losing all the attention to someone she doesn't even know, Skye starts going into depression and wondering why she even exists. Then, an outrage at her school begins regarding a newspaper that claims to know how to know God, and Skye tasks herself with finding the truth.
