Henry Higgins, a young constable living in 1901, Canada, has done something he shouldn't have: He has fallen in love with another man. But that doesn't really matter. Something else does. (A short romance drabble, with a happy ending.)

He was so close to death, too close. She needed him, needed to feel him, hear him. She needed to know he was alive, to know that this wasn't some sort of illusion.
