To save himself, his family, and the world, Techno accepts one last job from a young woman by the name of Veina Kythe, who is part human and part alien from the now-destroyed planet of Athenexar. Even though he doesn't trust her entirely, he agrees to help her if she will help him in turn. But there's a problem with that. All the known copies of The Bible have GPS trackers on them, so the moment you touch them, you are marked for the rest of your short life. With her powers of teleportation and time travel, Veina sends them back to the 1960s to find a copy that can't be tracked. That is where they meet Mary Worthington, the real-life manifestation of the Bloody Mary legend. After her death, she traps them in time until they are successful in helping her regain her lost beauty.
