This is my version of what a 9th or 10th Keeper of the Lost Cities book would look like, based at the cusp of war with the infamous Neverseen. The Neverseen is building an army and is posed to attack the seemingly vulnerable and allie-less elves. Meanwhile, Keefe is facing struggles of his own, as his legacy looms nearer and nearer, with a promise of destruction, even Sophie and her friends can't stop. To prevent these looming terrors, Sophie must look into the past of one begrudging councillor and look, not only for answers for her friend but for unlikely allies as well. This story is centred around a journey Sophie takes in uncharted territory, wading her way through lies as terror rocks the unsteady land of the elves. This story alternates from Sophie, Bronte, and Keefe perspectives, keeping each narration of the story unique and fresh.

It's time for the KOTLC gang to apply for their matchmaking scrolls and none of them can wait. Sophie though, is also worried about who she will get as her #1! Will it be Fitz, Keefe, or Dex? Or does the Council give her someone she will never expect as her #1? All characters from KOTLC belong to Shannon Messenger! All characters from the Selection belong to Kierra Cass!
