Twolegs are causing trouble in the forest, have taken Puddleshine, and may be causing endless leaf-bare. Springpaw, Sunpaw and Leopardpaw are the only ones that can save the Clans from the cold and a mysterious threat hiding in the shadows.

In a leaf-bare as cold like this, prey is scarce. In WindClan, the rabbits are scarcer then usual, and the Clan is starving. Brairsong tries her hardest to do her best for the Clan. Meanwhile, Heatherwhisker is determind to speak to StarClan. Unfortunately, StarClan ignores WindClan: not just WindClan, the other Clans too. Will the Clan starve to death with no help from StarClan, or will there be a sollution for this all?
