[Editing in progress. I've returned to this fic after years and am trying to make it coherent.] It's been five months since the gang lost Lewis. But how, exactly? Arthur can't quite remember, and from what he knows, neither can Vivi; but it couldn't have just been an accident like the investigators had ruled. There had to be something else at play. So Arthur goes on a search to recover his lost memories and bring their friend justice, but something's wrong with Vivi... and Mystery seems more on-edge than usual... > Chapter 1 officially starts a week or so after 'Ghost'. That night in the cave, a man was supposed to have been pushed off by his possessed best friend and potential love interest and land in front of his other love, whose memories would be erased of him to save her from the trauma of seeing him die. That man was also supposed to come back a vengeful wraith, determined to get revenge on the friend who he thought betrayed him, the one who lost his arm to a kitsune disguised as a dog. But that didn't happen.
